I think $1,250,000 costs £13.49 in GTA, so $973,000,000 is equivalent to £10,500 or $17,010...although Rockstar equating that to lost cash is absurd since there's no way players would spend even a fraction of that amount on the cards.
I don't know if I'm happy about this or slightly disappointed.

Guys this is confirmed as being fake, the account is a fake and the source of info on the bans goes as far as people saying "my friend said he did this glitch and got banned", etc.
There's no point turning this into a Microsoft bashing page without looking at the whole picture. So far Rockstar have taken a 'patch it, fix it' approach to exploits with no bans so everybody just relax.
Same here, I don't know if I can justify spending £80+ on a 3DS for one game series though!
Also hijacking an SUV and selling it to Los Santos Customs can net you 5-9k every in game day so get selling! You can sell anything that isn't a sports car (such as 9Fs, Comets, Infernus', etc) but SUVs net the most on average.
Also before you sell them make sure you repair the vehicle and then sell it for slightly more money!
Just wanted to chime in here, I've used this to acquire the cinemas and Los Santos customs and it hasn't glitched my game. It was the same for a lot of people on the original reddit post so if you're worried about your game do the glitch on a separate save.
You do know that this is battlefield and it probably will be buggy :D
If my i5 and HD6850 can pull 40-50fps with a mixture of high and medium at 1080p then consoles have no excuse!

As if seven discs is that big a deal for a one time install, it's highly unlikely you'll even need the discs to start the game (after installation).
Also you all know that the seven discs thing is just an option right? You can install from the discs or just download the game, as long as you have a key it's your choice. That means scratched discs won't be a problem.
It's the developers who choose whether or not the games go onto DVDs, Blura...
