Except this isn't Sony simply helping out the distribution in the marketing deal of a multi-platform game
this is a property they're literally spending their own money on so if they turn down Sunset Overdrive because they couldn't own the intellectual property you kind of already know your answer to why suddenly there publishing and funding this game.

Technically do you have any proof that they're coming? Because Far Cry 5 not having a switch version and the new Tomb Raider being announced with no switch version is very much showing that things are actually not changing.
