Why no apple? Let me take a go:
1) The OS will shut down and you will only see the Swirling Wheel of Death. No explanation can be found ANYWHERE because there is no real reason, warning, or error message for why it happened. (At least the Blue Screen of Death told you why.)
2) You have played a game for exactly 1 hour each day for the last 20 days. But today it just stops functioning like it should. No warning. No error message. No task manager to figure out what is wrong. No online solution. Your game just stops working.
3) Every time you plug in your controller to charge it, iTunes starts up, installs a ton of unneeded "updates", then tries to charge you 99 cents for every MB of DLC.
3a) This also slows down the OS and everything else so that your game looks like you are in constant slow motion (aka lag).
4) For no reason whatsoever, Apple releases a new product that is advertised as better than the current technology, but once you buy it, you realize it is a buggy mess that is actually inferior to what you already own. Worse yet, a third party creates a technology ten times better, ten times cheaper, and ten times faster even though it only works through cellular towers.
5) You are completely unable to upgrade any of the parts, such as a hard drive, disk drive or anything else. You cannot upgrade your headset, controller, or anything else unless it comes only from Apple. The OS cannot be updated with your current tech so you must buy new tech along with the OS.
6) Even though you try to catalog your music, games, and pictures, None of the names associated with those media work or are relevant.
7) Steve Jobs holds press conferences all the time assuring you that the product you bought is actually good. If that doesn't succeed he will do some slick marketing that costs more than Nintendo's, Microsoft's and SONY's advertising expenditures combined.
8) Sure, now you own the "coolest" product, the problem is that it just doesn't work. And since when does broken tech = cool?
9) All criticisms will be inexplicably positive.
10) Development for the system will SUCK. In fact, many of the games that are out on the other 3 consoles and PC will never come out on the Apple. All first party.... wait.... first party? Sorry, there will be no 1st party games. You will be stuck buying App games, playing Zynga games (that are free) and maybe minesweeper.
11) The software will be the least secure software ever made (ala Safari)
12)The WiFi connection will occasionally work regardless of the amount of distance between your Apple console and the Router. Further, it will work sometimes and sometimes not. (Tech Support for this problem: Turn off Airport. Turn Airport back on. Viola! it works. No one really knows why.)
13)Steve Jobs will deny that anything is wrong.
Today, Cloud Imperium Games released a new major update for Star Citizen, numbered Alpha 4.2 and titled "Storm Breaker."
Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster joins the Switch 2 as a solid entry for both new players and returning fans.
TNS: Enjoy a world where you can have your own farm and anime-like characters that you can romance in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma.
I don't like Apple, but I think you confused them with Microsoft.
Apple are already in the gaming market making more money than any handheld has done for a while....i can see your point of big consoles and i dnt partically like apples attitude to business of their laptops/netbooks but its hard to argue that apple are not in the gaming market. They will not make big console unless they can link it into something else everyone wants ( like they did with the iphone smart phone and a good cataloge of games and apps in one device)
This list is a joke and clearly from some rabid M$ fanboy retard. No company is perfect sure and when it comes to computers you buy what you need to do what you need.
As iamnsuperman pointed out, Apple is already in the gaming market, they just created there own corner of it. Nothing wrong with that.
1) I've been using OSX for about 2 years now and I have NEVER had it crash on me(granted it's just me but since we are clearly going by personal exp here), I've seen the swirling rainbow wheel but my system never crashed. And even if it did, I like the other 90% of computer users out there reboot, even with an explanation like that on windows how many actually have the background to know what it means or do something about it? What rewrite the OS?
2) This can happen on ANY system even consoles. It's all in the Programming.
3) First off iTunes doesn't start up when I plug a Gamepad in. Second When I plug in an ipod it does pop up because that is what I want it to do. I want it to download the content automatically (podcasts for example which are FREE). Furthermore Itunes doesn't charge me unless I say it's ok. Shit just doesn't show up on my credit card just cuz. Your 99 cents per MB thinking should be directed at your ISP overcharging you like all the others do to us. monthly caps should be illegal but that has nothing to do with apple of course.
3a) This is called multitasking and the more you throw at your machine the more work it has to do. if your system is a pos like most Windows run systems are since it's all spaghetti code then yes chances are things will slow down. My advice, give your brain a rest and do one thing at a time or get a better rig.
New products are released every year, if we all stop buying then everything shuts down, learn some economics as this is how we humans roll. My iMac is two years old and the iMacs today are FAR superior but mine still works fine and does what i need it to do. If you want the latest all the time then you gotta cough up the dough.
Yes if you want an iMac or Macbook then you got to go through apple. Some say apple should license out OSX to other PC vendors and open the floodgates but apple likes control. This is there greatest strength and greatest weakness.
Some Windows machines can be bought cheap but they are pos comparatively speaking. I'm in the process of pricing a Windows gaming rig for myself and no matter what, I always hit $3000 including a monitor. The notion that Windows machines are cheaper is just BS. However you do have a lot more choice as to what parts go into your system but I akin buying an apple computer to a car. Do you really ask to put a ford engine when you are at a toyota dealership?
5) I have no idea what the F your talking about here. Upgrade headset? if you want a better one you go buy it you don't upgrade headsets or gamepads.I have used logitech Gampads and 3rd party keyboards with my mac and never had any problems. Is logitech and apple the same company now?
OSX gets plenty of updates (lion was just announced) and you can upgrade macbooks as well as Mac pro's hdd. iMac's are upgradable too but yes they take a bit more elbow grease and some inside knowledge but nothing a little research can't help. Please not i'm not saying taking apart an imac is easier then a standard ATX tower case but that it can be done.
6) Then you don't know how iTunes works or how to name a freaking Album. Learn young one, learn.
7) You know, I wish The big 3 consoles manufacturer's would hold more press conferences as Steve does. To me, it shows Apple gives a damn about there customers when they tell what is going on and when the internet lies about there products or blows things out of proportion (like the antenna nonsense)
8) The 90's and Microsoft say hi. Remember when windows was so awesome to use? How many updates/fixes has Windows gotten over the years? Calling the kettle black much? Oh and my stuff works just fine, guess it's just you
9) Every corporation tries to turn a bad thing (even one that is blown out of proportion) into a good thing, it's called good PR and damage control. Image is everything.
10) There is clearly a market for these types of games so why shouldn't these games be there for those people? not everyone wants to play Halo. And when a game costs .99 and can give me some entertainment fora few min, why not? Who the hell are you to judge? Also since you know nothing of how th app market works, apple does not force anyone to charge a fee, that is up to the developer/publisher. So if they charge you on the App store and give it for free else where then your anger is with them, not apple.
11) Ok please name me a way to make software 100% secure? go on I will wait. That said software off the app store is by far the most secure way for devs to sell there software.
12) Apple didn't invent the Wifi standard dumbass. again you and like many others blame apple for everything but when the same thing happens on windows you just shrug and say thats to be expected. Now think about that.
13) No he hasn't. Remember those press conferences? Yeah that is how he tells people they know problem A exists and they will do what they can to fix it. Sometimes they can (if it;s an apple problem) and sometimes they can (like the antenna, that is just a problem with cellular tech, same thing happens on blackberries and whatnot)
You don't understand satire. Which is what this is.
2 years of using their OSs vs 14 years for me. Yes. Experience trumps non experience. I have never been called a M$ Fanboy before, especially since I can't stand their console, Vista, and I use Linux.
3) Of course not with a gamepad, that is why you don't understand satire.
3a) My computer multitasks just fine without slowing down. If you think that is indicative of a good piece of machinery, then I have a few ZX81s to sell you. They are tops.
4) So your 14 years of life experience translates into how I know nothing of economics. Wow is that failure with a capital F. We get it, you're a macfanboy. Meh.
5) Obviously flew right over your head, as satire apparently does. Apple does not often sell their software without the need for new tech. What's not to get. You don't know what the F I am talking about means that you really don't understand anything that I am talking about, and probably even less of what you are talking about.
6) Most MP3 players and software automatically identify albums and songs without the need to jump through hoops to accomplish such a basic function.
7) They don't care about their customers. They care about their bottom line as do MS, Sony and Nintendo. If they did, their products would not be so cumbersome.
8) Ummm... the 90s were actually pretty good for MS's OSs. 95 and 98 were pretty good. ME sucked. But again you don't get satire.
9) Satire.
10) 99 cents per song. Satire that really just goes over your head. Any console would want more than something that can be used on last generation phones. Argument is moot as it makes no sense that people would want a console that plays facebook games.
11) Safari is so insecure that Paypal and Ebay do not allow you to use it when transacting on their sites. There is a difference betwixt very secure and not secure at all.
12) Actually Apple did create Airport. The same thing doesn't happen on Linux. Or Windows that I have heard of. Wifi is a standard and has no problems with other OS's.
13) Steve Jobs always denies that the critics are wrong. Either you are Steve Jobs or a puppet that does nothing but parrot Apple.
