Final Fantasy XII Sequel | Yay or Nay?

I agree with you here. I honestly can't understand what they are doing. Fans say they want a number of different things, so they give them something no one wanted. Makes no sense. The longer they take to do what the fans want, the quicker they will lose fans.

I vote for a fish up side the head of the lead director.

Get the strong feeling this is only happening because the game is in his comfort zone. Its something he's worked on before, he somehow has pull inside Square after FFXIII and XIII-2, so he's working with what he knows.

That such is arguably not good, is raising vocal complaint and warnings of not buy any future Square games, is besides the point.

XII was great, but it's at least 5 years old now... Their thinking just seems sporadic. Why bring it back now? Are they clutching at straws at this stage?

Doing so while there are seemingly a pair of perfectly good ropes labeled "vsXIII" and "FFVII remake" in easy reach. The latter they put there themselves before jumping off the cliff.

Mind you I say "seemingly". They are ropes they made after all.

And really, what's up with them not releasing Type-0 in the west?

Well, in the video, the dude says that it was one of the most critically acclaimed final fantasy games. This tells me that if square enix also think that, then this is a move out of desperation.

I just hope they know what they're doing and that they hurry up with versus XIII.

All FF games after FF10 had bad or mediocre stories. hence FF12 is not a good FF game

Some people like the actual playing part of the game, too. Not just the story. hence 12 is a good FF game.

I liked FF 12 and thoroughly enjoyed the political intrigue that went with it. FF 10 was just utter nonsense with horrendous voice acting, insipid characters with two possible exceptions in the form of Auron and Jecht and a complete lack of narrative coherence of any level.

Also, check out the infamous laughing scene in Japanese. Sounds like a murder of crows.

Said it before and I will say it again.

I love Final Fantasy XII to death.My favorite FF game of all time and I've played since FF1.However I don't want a sequel because I think the story has come to an appropriate finish.Adding any more stories is pointless.

Some games are so good that you feel at peace saying goodbye and I'd like Square to keep it that way.

If SE let the battle system untouched and create a new world, a cast that isnt forgettable and an interesting plot, im sold.
