For those of you who didn't read part 1 yet, I'm going to take a quick look at
the three top "Hot Stories" from Xbox 360, PS3, and Industry news. I'll
put links at the bottom, so you can see for yourself, how the numbers
really add up. Of those articles, I'll read the first 25 comments.
Why am I doing this? To finally answer the question "Which side is worse on N4G?" After doing the PS3 section, there were three (count em, three!) trolls. TheMart (who to his credit had a quasi troll), Power of Green (who didn't technically appear, but got an honorable mention), and toughName.
The first two articles are "Charging for Microsoft Xbox Live" and "Confirmed: No Microsoft press conference at Games Convention" I had to skip down a little for the third because the others had less than 25 comments or had little to do with 360 (Special thanks to the person who submitted "Sony to revolutionise online" as 360 news), so the third is "18 Best Game Engines of Next Gen".
First thing to notice, there's almost no non-multi-plat news (side point, why is there only one too human review? it comes out in 5 days). I wonder why that is, and no I don't actually wonder, and no it's not because the 360 has no good news--troll elsewheres.
Second, I'm not actually going to breakdown "Charging for Microsoft Life" or "No Microsoft Press Conference at 'Games Convention'". Why? you ask. Here's why. I am going to give it to you with 0 bias. You can read it for yourself. The comments tell the story, and nobody can argue with it.
I'm not even going to try to count the trolls, they are numerous especially in the press conference article.
Here's the links:
Charging for Microsoft Live
Confirmed: No Microsoft press conference at Games Convention
and the only one to actually not turn into a console war in the first 25 comments:
18 Best Game Engines of Next-Gen
Stay tuned for Part 3: The Front Page. It's going to be done at a later date (probably tomorrow) to minimize overlap between articles, and give me time to sleep before work.
Today, Cloud Imperium Games released a new major update for Star Citizen, numbered Alpha 4.2 and titled "Storm Breaker."
Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster joins the Switch 2 as a solid entry for both new players and returning fans.
TNS: Enjoy a world where you can have your own farm and anime-like characters that you can romance in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma.
It's been a good couple of days
i like how you did this, its an actual blog without bias in it. Wow haha. Good read
Cry me a river... this guy is a wuss. You are probably one of those gamers that yell in his mic "SHUT UP SHUT UP JUST SHUT UP SHUT UP" when people start trash talking online.
I don't mind it as long as it's clean either, I just don't like how you can't even have a discussion without being drowned out by everyone turning it into somehow negative news.
