Xbox Hate

For the last couple of week's on N4G i have noticed that it has been plagued with constant playstation Fanboys abusing Microsofts E3, The kinect and the new 360 slim and its starting to bug me.

I completely understand that people dislike the 360, but what i dont understand is why people have to fill a website which is surposed to be a Gaming News site with attempt's at flame wars and just trolling.

I feel this site should be about rumors and news about games. However i do agree with the people writing about the faults of the new xbox when they are actual testing it for faults.

What i do disagree with is when it is obviously untrue, for example the recent post on xbox 360 slim. The artical contains a video which shows the new 360 and then a tv, The tv has lines down it so PS3 fanboys claim its obviously a fault with the XBOX. Wrong the fault is with the TV, the 360 was running perfectly apart from these lines on the screen so in my opinion it has to be the tv.

Another example of fanboyism is the recent post of a IGN interview with the developers of crysis 2. In the interview they have a showing of the game and part way through the preview the game crashes, it then shows that the game is being played on windows and that there is also a xbox 360 logo on the screen, ps3 fanboys instantly claimed that the 360 is unable to handle crysis 2.

This to me makes no sense the video is obviously prerecorded due to the fact the guy from crytek is talking about things that have yet to happen in the video, ie he says and in the game you can kick cars and crush your enemys, as he says this the game has the character boot the car across the screen. The guy from crytek isnt playing the game, there isnt anybody on screen playing the game. To me this mean's it is prerecorded scene where somebody plays crysis 2 on the 360 and they then show the recording to IGN when the computer crashes.

I know by writing this it is going to recieve loads of hate, but to be honest thats what i expected. From what i have seen this site is now usless until people and the administrators of N4G start sorting out the flame war attempts.

The Interview With Cevat Yerli on Crysis 2 wasn't prerecorded it was part of IGN's live show. However IGN's computers did crash during the presentation due ti high traffic, It was not the fault of the the 360. To stop worrying about consoles and wars, buy a PC, get Steam and you're set for life.

So it's not just because you say it's not?
Foreign lines aren't too uncommon with GPU issues/artifacting.
It could very well be an uncommon issue that the guy just happened to have gotten, but don't go acting like a fanboy yourself and saying that it is the TV just because your ignorant self thinks so.

People really need to get over their paranoia that everyone is a Ps3 fanboy.
There has been a lot of positive things said about the PS3 lately because THERE IS REASON FOR IT. Same with the 360 getting a lot of negative coverage (other than the new model that FINALLY has built in WIFI).

there are people who'll read an articles headline and just comment. Theres also poeple who constantly bash the other console as they want as many "agree" votes as possible and to get another bubble.
With E3 finished now , hopefully the situation will simmer a bit as it DID get a bit crazy and heated on a few posts.
But fanboys and console bashers will always be around. . . sometimes its just a good idea to ignore it as best you can and dont add fuel to the fire (or flamewar I guess)

This site in 2006 and 2007 was filled with Microsoft die-hards who turned in anti-PS3 articles every day.After HD DVD died,many of those die-hards left N4G.

You just gotta deal with it but above all stop playing the victim.I did and my N4G experience is good now.You won't mind PS3,Wii,or 360 fanboys unless you turn your attention to them.At the point you annoy the PS3 fanboys of N4G,you are on your own with few willing to assist you.

I had to chuckle a little with your characterization of N4G. It was impossible for me not to imagine Afghanistan and the Taliban. My vision included graven images of Bill Gates being dynamited from weathered stone cliffs and earnest eyed and heavily bearded Uncharted fans praying in the direction of Tokyo (not to insult our Islamic cousins, I am simply referring to the extreme factions of your culture).

Just like any company around the world past, present and future wise. I support them and other american companies that are trying to pave the way when it comes to technology. This site energy is consist of flaming articles. Rethoric do bring masses out. Even for the ones who give honest opinions with logic still get disrespected. For myself, I'm not afraid to say that I love my 360 because I use it with balance between gaming and multimedia of music and online streaming of movies. I respect companies that try to correct the mistakes they make and to look towards the future. Bubbles for you for your logical article.

Well, bout a or so ago N4G became really sony positive. Which is half the reason I actually visit this site.

I mean; look at the forums, 12000 ps3 topics, 3000 Xbox topics.

Early in the console war this place was filled with Ps3 hate, Ps3 hate articles are appearing less and less, while X360 hate is rising.

It's a community-run website, and the community is PS3. I'd migrate to another news aggregator if there was one. I don't feel like crafting articles to meet the PS3 fanboy's need.

Im active in an little german forum about ps3.
They all agreed that the new Xbox slim looks very good. Most didnt like kinect and a few didnt like move. The only thing why move sounds better for most people is that games like heros on the move, sorcerer, kz3, socom is playable with it. Kinect seems to have nothing to offer for them, you cant tell me something diffrent, kinect wont have such games. All these hate aticles are not mentioned in our forum, maybe you should go in a good forum too. You cant teach all people, N4G wont change.

Another problem that has been mentioned is the thing that the ps3 wasnt that good in the past and we ps3 fans got much hate from all xbox fanboys. Remember the past MS E3s ? They always took an exclusive away. It was a hard time. Now the ps3 keeps getting better and we, the old fans, who trusted in Sony are happy. It seems many of them, who suffered a lot, want to pay it back to the xbox fanboys.

I once said that both consoles have the same amount of fanboys. Massive disagrees incoming ;)

And the PS3 fanboys won't let it go.. for awhile.

It was the other way around when FF13 when multi-platform.
It's easy to call out when you're the victim.
