miiverse.nintendo.net < the real evil

what is the miiverse ( Mii universe), I'll just copy and paste this nifty little piece

---- Miiverse allows users to seamlessly share accomplishments, comments, and hand written notes with other users. Miiverse is integrated into the system menu of the Wii U and 3DS, but social interactions can also occur within supported games and applications. ----

As we all know we are not free to think and live the way we do, we are controlled by the matrix and everything around begs for my social connection. We live in an age of techno manipulation and our worst fears are visible when we leave cyber space. I noticed i have more cyber friends than real ones and I read more online item/game reviews than checking with a real life person i know. Maybe i should ask someone but word of mouth is getting more and more scares in the real world, in cyber space there is a growing number of ways to communicate, maybe the word of mouth is different but let me introduce you to the best thing since your next door neighbor, the guy at the rental store, the EGM magazine with those crazy reviewers, IGN's forums...

Miiverse,
this method of communication/data collection/consumer reaction/mass social media / game review feedback has to be the best thing that I've seen in a long time, personal opinion and with 34 year playing games I would say this is very "cool".

For instance, We've seen Splinter Cell Black List release on the WiiU... But was the game any good?Well after snooping on miiverse you can get a clear indication... NO, the online is broken and people are constantly complaining. They give lots of positive "Yeah" for the offline single player, but they say stay away if you're into online play. They are constantly looking for people to play with... The truth is there are people playing the single player campaign and someone online can send this person an invite, there is a pop-up on screen and the player can join in on the request. BUT!!!! that's where the problem starts, there is something wrong with the matchmaking and the online connectivity, can't even connect with friends. Can only connect with randoms ( we know how fun that can be lol).

These are official developer/publisher forums that have access to what's going on, in real time on their games on the Nintendo system. Some Miiverse threads have a rep that does communicate with the community, this helps but in the end if the game isn't getting DLC, and everyone is complaining... well those are sales that won't ever be happening.

If on the other hand, you have great positive word of mouth on the miiverse and everyone is telling others to buy the game, and the consumers that are asking the other games who own the game ( there is a check box showing them who actually owns the game) should they get it, is it good, ask for a small review. That helps a lot.

Has your experience been a good one on the miiverse? The drawing app with miiverse integration is amazing (look at my profile pic... i did that using it and many other top notch artwork)

I agree that Nintendo needs to release more games, but i think they have a chance to remaster many into the HD era that many have not seen ( maybe they were just a child then).

A miiverse community dedicated to HD remastered Classics with thoughts and wishlist would really give the thought traction. what do you think?

HD Remastered with online components & miiverse integration.

Blast Corp? (N64)
1080 snowboarding
F-Zero X
LOZ both NA games or even the JP master version
Mischief makers (love this game)
Sin & Punishment
so many others...

Of course the 3rd parties should do the same

Hmm, I know it's a huge request, but could Nintendo get with 10 years ago and have an achievement/trophy system?

I know it's a lot to ask ( it's really not), but until they can at least get a basic thing like this built into their online system it will always be looked at as infantile.

That's not to mention party chat, user accounts, dedicated servers, proper friends lists and user names.

Honestly, Nintendo's online infrastructure is a damn joke, they need to get their shit together, because, honestly, the gamers aren't really willing to wait for them to catch up.

you know Sony wasn't that great also, they had MS trying to push the online service really hard. It worked and now look where PSN is.

Can it happen to a company that will eventually see they need to move up with the times, ya it can.

I think the reason we don't have achievements/trophy is because they didn't want to stress the gamers to do more. But i like the achievements as you get to try and play the game a different way. Like in Mario 3D, getting all the stamps wasn't easy but fun and gave the game replay value.

just a note here, the miiverse is a major community booster used right.

The social networking on the other system isn't like this.

if you haven't seen what it is then check it out on youtube ( i might put up a video soon explaining the details)
