Love
¦ The story - Maybe Halo isn't the Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter in terms of storyline, but it's got me hooked. It isn't so much the story as the characters that I've become attached to. Call me a sissy, but when Johnson kicked the bucket, I almost ... almost shed a tear. I was literally stunned that they had killed him off.
¦ Balance - The gameplay isn't really innovative, but it is extremely well balanced. It really is a perfect harmony of melee, grenades, and gun fire. Every weapon has its pros and cons that can be used in your favor or against your favor on every map. They've slowed down the sniper rifle fire just a tad so it no longer devasting.
¦ Forge - It's a blast. It just adds another level and dimension to multiplayer.
¦ Theater - Now you can easily prove to your friend that you really got an insane overkill with a sticky grenade while jumping in the air to dodge two rockets and sniper fire right before you jump off the edge by accident.
¦ Everything else besides what I mention in the hate section.
Hate
¦ No Rocket Lock On - It's not a huge complaint, but I really can't figure out why Bungie took it out anyway.
¦ Only 20 Seconds To Smack Talk After A Game - I don't smack talk, but I would always stay to listen to the two most ignorant players trash talk on each other because I would find it hilarious. It's really a small complaint, but again I just don't see why Bungie changed it. In Halo 2 if you didn't want to stay in the post-game report you could back out right away. So why implement the 20 second limit?
¦ Where is Team Snipers? - Am I the only one who remebers the Team Snipers ranked gametype in Halo 2? No, I'm not talking about the shotty sniper match you get every now and then when playing Team Slayer. This was an entire ranking by itself where it was just 4 v 4 sniper battles. I definetly remember Bungie showing a graph where it showed Team Snipers as the second most popular Rank gametype right behind Team Slayer. Why leave it out then?
¦ No Coag/Blood Gulch? - It's a classic. They should've remade it. They sorta did with Valhala, but I would've prefered a remake like they did with Last Resort. Hell, they should've remade Beaver Creek, too. It was another Halo 1 and 2 classic.
¦ The story - I know. I said I loved it, and I do. But does anyone else find it just a little awkward that the Arbitar didn't get focused on at all after the focus that was put on him in Halo 2. It just seemed like something that was missing.
Those are pretty much the only complaints I have though, and they in no one take away from the fun I have while playing the game. Hit me up on Live.

And don't be a n00b, the rocket launcher takes no skill to use in Halo 2. This way is better and more balanced.
I agree with you on Team Snipers.
nearly every thing you hate is ok by my standards the rocket launcher not having lock on is much better it was way to easy to get kills with it in halo 2, missle pod takes much more skill to take out vehicles, as for the team snipers...thats easily fixed in custom games and a new gametype update that they are planning in a week or 2.
and the maps? lol they are remaking coag they cant possible not do that its the most played halo map it will come back in halo 3 at twice the size.
