Seriously with all these re-masters popping up, you mean to tell me EA could not get a team together to Remake Battlefield Bad Company 2.. Really?
One of the best selling FPS games. I mean come on’ it’s only one of the most beloved games by all gamers young and old and in the franchise history. Hell PC gamers have totally abandoned Battlefield Hardline, just because they wanted a more serious battlefield, a true military shooter.
Hmm, I wonder what could fill that need. Ding! Ding!... ding, Please show me Battlefield Bad Company 2 Remastered for 200 points, Bob. Thank you. And I would like to buy a Vowel, let me get a Y, yeah Y is not a vowel but, when I say Y I mean, can someone tell me why in the world this is not happening.
Instead EA/DICE decided nah, it would be better not to give the consumer what they want, let’s instead just go make what we think you should like. I mean god forbid we actually listen to the consumer.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was selected as the 2010 Shooter of the Year by PC Gamer UK.
Chief Karl-Magnus Troedsson said, “DICE isn't quite sure what gamers really enjoyed about the game” -Wait What? We've been asking ourselves: 'What is it that the people really liked about Bad Company?' -you're kidding right? And this guy is the CEO?
Ok it’s official the company is run by complete idiots. Your game does over 7 million copies sold and you have no idea why people like it..? Ok hold on’ while I try to wrap my head around this.
Is this really how video game companies are run. You understand complex coding but you have no idea what is fun. No idea what is fun in the game. No idea what people really liked about it..?
Oh my god, it’s no wonder why a lot of these games suck, the guys making them have no idea why the game is even fun, hell they probably don’t even play video games. They just code them. This actually explains a lot of things. And yes i’m being sarcastic, of course they play games, but the fact that they are not sure what is so fun about Bad Company 2 says a lot. They play the game to test things, they are not playing to enjoy the game.
I guess, that’s a problem that comes up when it’s your job, and you have been doing it for awhile.
Well let me run down a list of things that just come to mind right off the back, completely off the top of my head.
1 Destruction - To this day no battlefield has been as sweet at BBC2 was with destruction, it was the first time DICE showed us true destruction and then made us a believer of how cool it was by putting it in the game in such a way, that it because a huge part of the Game-play.
2 Hit detection - here is a game that was not for the babies, hit detection worked and it worked so well that if you were a sniper you had to compensate for bullet drop / which just means over a distance the bullet would start to drop, just like in real life. It added a level of skill that made it something you had to perfect to really be good at.
3 Map Design - was some of the best ever done, it was done in a way that all the maps were well thought out and super fun to play. Even after buildings were torn down they still had an incredible fun factor that is hard for games today to match.
4 Beautiful Class design - When you were a sniper you felt like a sniper and you understood your role and how it played a part in the battle.
It’s just a really well done game, and for it to not be remastered, just seems like really big, huge missed opportunity on EA’s part.
What do you guys think, is this a game you would come back for, is it something you would love to see done, or do you disagree, and think it’s just better to keep moving forward?

Completely agree! This is one of my favorite franchises. Just remaster the game and let it be.
I love this game and actually play through the campaign at least twice a year. Guys honestly if you ever get the chance, just get a PC. This and many other games can be cranked up to 1440p on 60fps+ with a midrange gaming PC. There's a LOT of older games that are available on PC that will seem like a remaster to anyone who hasn't seen it before. Think of it. The Borderland series, Far Cry series, Batman Arkham series, Deus EX series, X-Com EU & EW, The Witcher series, Assassins Creed series, Resident Evil RE, 4,5 & 6 (all of them really, just no Code Veronica), Saints Row, The Red Faction series, Mirror's Edge, Max Payne series, The Hitman series, the Mass Effect series, all the Half Life games of course, Dirt and Grid series, all the Grand Theft Autos, all the Fallouts and Elder Scrolls games and all the Call of Duty games.
I'm sure I'm missing a bunch but that was off the top of my head. Most of those games can be run pretty much on older hardware at 1080p60fps easily. That way you won't have to wait for yet ANOTHER "remaster".
So again, if you're interested in last gen games being played like if they were remastered, then PC is a great option.
BF4 has bullet drop to the point that it's not realistic. Hardline bullet drop is more realistic in which the bullet from a sniper rifle does not immediately drop after 100m. Maybe you meant the netcode? The netcode for BF4 was so horrendous in the beginning that dying was hilarious and frustrating. After the patches and server patches it's now working properly for the most part unless the serve you were on sucked.
I'd rather have them release a new game preferably the Battlefield 2142's sequel.
I guarantee if they re released the MP only for like $19.99 download ALL my friends an I would drop ALL the current games we play.
DICE are fools for dropping the BC part of Battlefield (seemingly this is the case), hands down the most fun I've had in an MP game. Whatever it was, BC2 had "it", such a special game.
