So after seeing the Ms Conference, i hope at least for 2 really great Games . Or is sony also killing the games like Ms this year.

Not only Showing games from e3 2015. We need some fresh Games ! And not realizing in 2018 -.-

Livecustoms3291d ago

Microsoft event wasn't even that bad ?

InTheZoneAC3291d ago

besides scorpio what exactly did they announce coming soon?

TFJWM3291d ago

There was nothing new on the game front and no surprises that is a bad conference imo.

yellowgerbil3291d ago

The presentation was terrible. It had no heart and the games were not really highlighted well. When you take a step back and ignore the bad presentation, what they actually showed was really impressive. But that doesn't change the fact that the show was terrible. Terrible cringey dialogue in Gears, Scalebound, and sea of thieves. Lack of proper buildup for games, We happy few just sort of happened and I think that game will be amazing but the whole time I was like wait, is this some new bioshock? then when it wasn't I was disappointed.
There was no passion, and that is what I think a lot of people took away from the show, but if you look in hindsight the actual games have a lot of promise overall.

MS's conference was a C+ and at best that's a C+

Blastoise3291d ago

I thought Microsofts show was alright, nothing amazing shown but the pace was fast. Much more entertaining than Ubisoft/Bethesda/EA, it lacked huge announcements but I was never overly bored atleast

Letthewookiewin3291d ago

The first five minutes of Sony's conference was better than all of MS's.

freshslicepizza3291d ago (Edited 3291d ago )

how long was sony's conference, seemed rather short?

well they had a couple of surprises like days gone and hideo kojimas game teaser but really not that much else we didn't know about. same with ms event. i didn't feel any more exitement over psvr, it still felt really flat. games like horizon still look amazing but i want to see more on the screen and see what the ps4 is capable of, you only get to see one of two enemies at once. detroit looks like the typical david cage clunky mechanics and still trying to bridge storytelling with action. the last guardian coming this october is very good news.

we do this every year, get excited and then the actual shows are just ok.

guitarded773291d ago

Sony has taken the show. Fanboys can be mad if they want, but no one has had a better show, or will have a better show this year. Just the way it is.

jb2273291d ago

@moldy

Okay, your opinion is officially irrelevant in this particular scenario.

Didn't see anything we didn't expect? Yeah if you were solely thinking about Pie in the sky stuff... A lot of this stuff was 'rumored' not leaked.....so yeah if you could imagine every MS rumor actually panning out in a single conference, Battletoads, Age of Empires, Halo 6, New Rare IP, new Twisted Pixel IP...basically if all of that stuff happened & then some at the MS presser, they'd be even. Didn't happen that way though.

This conference was groundbreaking & phenomenal....I've got respect for your opinion, but if you can't admit that much I'll lose a lot of that. This conference was easily the most well out together in the history of E3 in years. I'm a Sony fan, but if MS put something like this together I'd absolutely admit it's genius. You need to do as much if you want to save any kind of face.

As far as VR, this conference maybe dedicated one sole minute to VR, less than any other company...in that minute they announced exclusive Arkham content for VR.

Different strokes I understand, but there was literally something for every console gamer here, all brand new & fully surprised....if you can't admit how amazing this show was, you are too far gone....easily my favorite E3 conference possibly ever.

freshslicepizza3291d ago

@jb2271
"Okay, your opinion is officially irrelevant in this particular scenario."

then why are you responding?

"Didn't see anything we didn't expect? Yeah if you were solely thinking about Pie in the sky stuff... A lot of this stuff was 'rumored' not leaked.....so yeah if you could imagine every MS rumor actually panning out in a single conference, Battletoads, Age of Empires, Halo 6, New Rare IP, new Twisted Pixel IP...basically if all of that stuff happened & then some at the MS presser, they'd be even. Didn't happen that way though."

you talking about ms conference does not really counter my argument about sony's, lol.

"This conference was groundbreaking & phenomenal....I've got respect for your opinion, but if you can't admit that much I'll lose a lot of that."

what was groundbreaking and phenominal when you can't even comment on it?

"This conference was easily the most well out together in the history of E3 in years. I'm a Sony fan, but if MS put something like this together I'd absolutely admit it's genius. You need to do as much if you want to save any kind of face."

still waiting?

"As far as VR, this conference maybe dedicated one sole minute to VR, less than any other company...in that minute they announced exclusive Arkham content for VR."

with no gameplay, lol, and you want to go on about groundbreaking?

"Different strokes I understand, but there was literally something for every console gamer here, all brand new & fully surprised....if you can't admit how amazing this show was, you are too far gone....easily my favorite E3 conference possibly ever."

you sure take a long winded approach to actually show me any details.

BossBattle3291d ago (Edited 3291d ago )

Only bad on N4G. Let's remember Sony shows games coming out 2-3 years later. And usually MS holds back for the Gamescom event.

rainslacker3291d ago

@moldy

Was just over an hour. Ran about 5 minutes long.

We knew Kokima's game would most likely be there, but didn't know anything about it. Spiderman was expected, but not from Insomniac(which means SP is still due for a new game soon), and didn't know it would look like a spidey game should. GOW was absolutely fantastic, and the live orchestra was certainly interesting.

What most impressed me was that they actually showed VR in a way that cool and made me want to try the games. Thought that would be hard to do when converted to a 2D format.

Was kind of shocked when I saw COD because I thought it was Eve:Valkyrie and was enjoying the game play. Never thought COD would look that fun.

Resident Evil VR shows a lot of potential and got a bunch of cheers in the theater..

I'd say the rest was pretty expected, but the game play for that zombie game looks pretty fun.

Practically no filler talking about useless stuff and only brief moments of some PR platitudes.

candystop3291d ago

For me personally I gotta give it to Sony. That show was simply incredible from start to finish. VR Gameplay was beastly and hopefully MS is taking notes.

GameNameFame3291d ago (Edited 3291d ago )

Wow. Moldy being salty is just shows to how well it has gone for Sony. Sony didnt even have time to show all their exclusives. I was wondering if I would get to see Gran Turismo...

For those who didnt watch:
MS: Here are all the games coming to PC!
Sony: Here are massive exclusives for PS4.

freshslicepizza3291d ago (Edited 3291d ago )

@rainslacker
"Was just over an hour. Ran about 5 minutes long."

then i was right, it was rather short compared to previous conferences. probably better this way.

"We knew Kokima's game would most likely be there, but didn't know anything about it. Spiderman was expected, but not from Insomniac(which means SP is still due for a new game soon), and didn't know it would look like a spidey game should. GOW was absolutely fantastic, and the live orchestra was certainly interesting."

i knew they would get something up quick from kojima, sony relishes in those moments that cater to their hardcore audience and they dont want to wait years after they signed him to show something. spiderman looks cool, strange insomniac seems to be doing so much that i hope they are not stretching themselves thin. gow we all knew was coming. i said before sony (and others) dont like sitting on valuable ip's and they have used gow to show off hardware in the past. it looks awesome graphically but im not a big fan of the franchise. yes the orchetra was cool and shawn was better than previous years.

"What most impressed me was that they actually showed VR in a way that cool and made me want to try the games. Thought that would be hard to do when converted to a 2D format."

not really to me. i still want to try it but the games seem shallow much like wii games, kinect games and playstation move games. they all share the apprehensiveness of going all out for a preipheral device. in a few years we will see the full impact of vr but right now it's amature hour.

"Was kind of shocked when I saw COD because I thought it was Eve:Valkyrie and was enjoying the game play. Never thought COD would look that fun."

lol, me too. i thought it was vr eve being played but again the game itself looks like been there done that and that engine is really showing its age now.

"Resident Evil VR shows a lot of potential and got a bunch of cheers in the theater.."

yup, could be very creepy especially with headphones on.

"I'd say the rest was pretty expected, but the game play for that zombie game looks pretty fun."

so many zombie games haha. this one didn't look anything special. dead rising 4 looks like a lot more fun.

"Practically no filler talking about useless stuff and only brief moments of some PR platitudes."

agreed, maybe an hour is the better format.

@GameNameFame
"Wow. Moldy being salty is just shows to how well it has gone for Sony. Sony didnt even have time to show all their exclusives. I was wondering if I would get to see Gran Turismo..."

you guys act like ps4's are only sold to those who scream at their shows and come to the forums to downplay all the compeition.

"For those who didnt watch:
MS: Here are all the games coming to PC!
Sony: Here are massive exclusives for PS4."

great, you bought a ps4 only for exclusives. or is this your way of saying i wasn't really interested in an xbox one and now that their games are also coming to the pc i will continue to just play on my ps4 and still not enjoy games like forza horizon 3 but use the pc as a conversation piece now?

MS set the bar pretty low to be honest

soiny can announce 2-3 big games and they will win e3/build momentum like last year

OB1Biker3291d ago (Edited 3291d ago )

Yea Im hoping for many 'but..but..Scorpio' moments. ;)

Letthewookiewin3291d ago

Seriously Sony just made MS look like a sad little boy. I don't know even know how else to put it.

PistolsAtDawn3291d ago

Nah, Sony did very well, and gave me two more solid games I didn't know anything about. Still I was impressed much more with stuff at the MS conference....more importantly, MS talked about stuff that is coming out soon. The two games Sony surprised me with look great, but who knows when they will come out...they didn't even hint at YEARS that they would be released. So it's nice to know there are a few more Sony games I'm excited about, but when? Going into the show, the next PS4 exclusive game I was looking forward to was Horizon, coming out...it's still Horizon. My problem with Sony conferences is never the games they show, so much as how far out they announce stuff and it seems like they are only good for one highly anticipated exclusive a year (sometimes 2).

GamingIVfun3291d ago

Sony's conference was Amazing, Microsof't's was good not amazing.

Sony got me the most excited for the future.

New God of War, hell yeah! Sony is off to a great start.

Sony Bend's game looks amazing. So interesting.

The Last Guardian coming out this October. Such awesome news.

Now Horizon gameplay demo. Looks great.

Already in the first 20 minutes I can say Sony's conference is the most exciting to me. Amazing job, Sony!

jb2273291d ago

My god, I can't even think about MS conference right now...

If Sonys conference ended right now after 4 games it would already be head & shoulders above the rest & hands down the best conference at E3, no contest.

In fact, the quality of this conference so far has essentially knocked every other conference down a full letter grade from me. MS was a solid B, now it's a C....EA was a D, now it's an F. I didn't plan on grading on a curve but Sony has forced my hand.

God of War, Days Gone, The Last Guardian, Horizon....all scored live with a full orchestra. I don't get excited too easily these days but this conference is one for the ages. For my personal tastes it already blows away last years.

Every conference from here on out needs brand new reveals, full gameplay & a live orchestra to move my needle.

This is beyond amazing.

rainslacker3291d ago (Edited 3291d ago )

The orchestra was a classy touch. Wish I was at home to hear it, because the theater had crappy sound. and think that ruined some of the impact of the opening, but GOW was just amazing...with what sounds like Teal'c from Stargate playing the new GOW...so even better. Having the kid on the hunt was interesting. Wondering if they're going for a different approach with the story, or if the kid is going to kick the bucket.

Horizon was impressive as always.

RE:VR made it the first RE game in a long time I was actually excited for.

Spider-man looked phenomenal in the game play department despite only having small doses of it, but hope they have skins for this costume.

Kojima's game was pretty cool....at least it looks like his brand of wierdness.

Crash remasters are welcome, although disappointed they only showed Skylanders.:(

X-wing game in VR...how can someone not be excited for that?

Days Gone just looks like stupid fun.

Was actually interested in a COD game...but didn't know it was COD because it came right after all the VR trailers, and thought it was Eve:Valkyrie.(I don't follow COD).

Really good conference. Great pacing. No lulls. Even though last year had a couple megaton announcements, and much of the big ones this year were kind of ruined with leaks/rumors(spiderman namely), this year was just really good. Wish it had gone on for an extra 30 minutes as normal, because I was never bored, and in the theater people were loving the games and game play shown. I'm actually wondering if Sony held some back, because some of their major studios are still MIA, and Sucker Punch is due for a new release.

Zeref3291d ago (Edited 3291d ago )

I'm a Microsoft fan and I gotta say sony won this time hands down. plenty of new ip's. And a lot better presentation.
but I'm still glad we can rub scorpio specs in sony fans face.

@MaxedOutGamer
Dude they literally confirmed 6 tflops...

MaxedOutGamer3291d ago

What specs? They didn't announce any! 😂 please don't say 6 teraflops 😂😂😂

leoms3291d ago

Seriously happy for you dude and appreciate your honesty.

lelo2play3291d ago (Edited 3291d ago )

Great conference. One of the best E3 conferences ever. Congrats to Sony, they won E3 again. They have the best studios, they have the best games, they spend more money in exclusives…. that’s why they sell the most consoles. Simple as that.

Microsoft instead prefers investing 2,5 billion in Minecraft when they should have invested in studios and talent.

candystop3291d ago

I would have much rather they purchased 5 or 6 studios as well. That mine craft part was not needed at the MS conference. E3 should be strictly for the hard-core gamer.

IamTylerDurden13291d ago

Sony dominated e3 with megaton after megaton. Mind blown. Sony wins.

God of War is my game of show.

Spider-man PS4 exclusive

Days Gone

Death Stranded/Kojima

RE7 in PSVR

Farpoint

Crash

Last Guardian Oct 2016

PSVR Oct 13 2016

Horizon gameplay was stunning

GameNameFame -"

if i'm not mistaken there were some games in the bunch of sony's conference that are going to pc as well like kojima's game and of course RE7.

Playstation Nation, it's time.

jb2273291d ago

My god....this is phenomenal. Undeniable quality for me...simply the best conference as a package I've ever seen so far. It could stop right now & it'd still be a high water mark, not just for Playstation, but the entirety of the medium. THIS is an E3 conference.

ninsigma3291d ago

Wow that was awesome! So many good games! Best one again this E3. Damn they're good at what they do xD

Germany73291d ago

I really liked the conference too.
Playstation is the home of the best exclusives.

rainslacker3291d ago

@nin

Have to admit, Sony picked an amazing marketing firm to handle the PS4 PR. They are just killing it every step of the way this gen. Live orchestra at an E3 event...just awesome. Nothing but wall to wall games, with a nice mix of new IP's and established franchises, and nothing shown was boring....even skylanders. No time(or less than a minute) spent on discussing useless partnerships or PR pandering about how great it is to play on PS, or how many it's sold, or features/products which have almost nothing to do with gaming.

This should be the benchmark for E3's going forward, outside new hardware reveal stuff, and it's forgivable if they don't do live orchestras in the future.

bow2yoda3291d ago

the only game worth while that sony showed was god of war really. nothing really blew my mind other than that... what a new version of neverending story? irobot? brave reloaded lmao. they basically ripped off old movies to make new games

Pancit_Canton3291d ago

I think this is what's going to happen to Sony's conference.
-Crash Bandicoot Remake
-Final Fantasy VII Gameplay
-Shenmue 3 Release date
-The Last Guardian Release date
-New Naughty Dog's IP
-Dreams Release date
-Detroit Release date
-No Man's Sky New Gameplay
-Gran Turismo New Gameplay
- Sony Bend New IP
- Wild Arms Remake
- Ni No Kuni's 2 Release date
- Legend Of Dragoon Remake
- Kojima's New game Teaser
- Horizon's New Gameplay
- Japan Studio New IP
-Sony's not announcing New console @ E3 (They are going to announce it @ Sony's Experience 2016)
-God of War Reboot ( New Protagonist)

Erik73573291d ago (Edited 3291d ago )

Agree with all of it, not really any bold predictions though so yours would be hard to not happen......tell me this, do you think we will get a in game demo of god of war or just a announcement?

I say demo
I also say that sony will show a playstation slim even though they said they weren't going to announce it.

Those are my bold predictions lol

Pancit_Canton3291d ago

I think just a trailer for the new God of War. The gameplay will probably be @ PlayStation Experience. As far as New console announcement, I think Sony will have a separate conference on February to talk about the New console just like they did 4 years ago. The reveal and pricing will be @ E3 2017.

TheLEGENDofTydo3291d ago

Legend of Dragoon Remake, haha I wish. Thanks for throwing in the dream.

marquisray3291d ago
