Day 5: ADVENTure Contest [Closed]

Congratulations to Liqu1d for being our Day 4 winner. A total of 14 people guessed correctly the game in question, which was Metro Exodus. This was a hard one. The image has enough to give the 80's association and that it's a calendar/pinup poster. But, you did have to know about the weird fascination with Metro developers using 80's Russian imagery throughout their games and especially using pinups like the one shown in Metro Exodus.

Now, on to Day 5. Remember, DO NOT COMMENT WITH YOUR GUESS. Only PMs to ChrisKriN4Gle will count, and only the first answer provided. One entry per person.

I have to say dude this year's competition is great! I thought it was a shame at first because the comments thread wasn't exactly bustling but I've been sending the images on to friends and letting them figure it out too, Having a right laugh getting them all involved

Ah shit. Metro...

It was between Days Gone and Resident Evil 2 for me. Had that Biker look or something you’d see in the maintenance / basement areas

Metro was something I wrote off, being so far in the future and being set in Russia

I had Metro in mind but same as you the 2030's setting put me off.
I actually said Need for Speed Heat because the female characters in it all have big hairstyles and wear tracksuits. There's also a radio station called WFFL86 so I put the pieces together haha

I checked the streets for posters in gameplay vids of Resi 2, Modern Warfare, Terminator Resistance and even thought it could have been in Nico's van in DMC5.
I had looked at vids of Metro but obviously discarded that line way too fast ha

I went Generation Zero. The game is set in the 80's so I thought the date in the picture was a hint.

My god I actually got yesterday's right too. For me it was a toss up between metro and remnant, but chose Metro. I thought Remnant because I remember it being set in the post apocalyptic future where the events surrounding it happened in the pre 2000s, so thought maybe this was a picture on a notice board somewhere :/

I've never played Metro but it looked quintessentially Metro to me. I couldn't find anything related to it in Google so I looked at the rest of this year to see what else it could be. I got nothing. Decided to try Metro one more time and by some stroke of luck got the exact right keywords to find a screenshot of that part of the game. Got lucky on that one!

Now this one I recognized immediately.

Yeh easily found via search "Metro Exodus posters". However, you needed to know the game first and that's almost like a needle in a haystack unless you have the time to google search every 3rd or 1st person or adventure game released this year multi-platform.

Yeah, I generally have a pretty good memory. I just think of what games were released this year and then whatever seems to fit I take a look at the artstyle and feel for the game to gauge if it fits. I might do a Google search with a few keywords but when I tried that with Metro initially I got nothing. Licked out when I went back and looked again
