Infamous impressions from a normal gamer.

Saturday morning i awake on my friends couch i am geeked, i wake him cause he had told me he was going to buy infamous early from a local store. So after giving him a few of my notorious atomic elbows he awakes and we make our way downtown, Once downtown the store says the shipment hasn't came yet. Fast forward after walking around downtown a few times and a few smoothies later, my friend got his hands on Infamous.

To start the story in infamous is really good adds well to the immersion, the progression is well paced. They foreshadow in the beginning how powerful you can later become and then bounce you to a low level of thunder power. They begin throwing the lowest level of enemy at you and it progresses up to the conduits some of you may have seen in the demo.

After collecting about 50 blast shards and around a dozen dead drops my opinion is this, Infamous is not the begin all end all to free roam hero games. It feels much like the old spiderman games felt on PS2 a great hero free roam, but with the power of the PS3 to back it and sucker punch's developing skills to boot. Its not to difficult and its not to easy. But after conquering most of the first area of the game i can say its worth a day one buy to those who are looking for a free roam adventure and its well worth the 9s that most review sites are giving it.

Now i just have to wait for amazon to deliver my copy, Happy Memorial day heros.

mmm...now i want a smoothie!

Vanilla-Banana would be awesome with a Wake & Bake spliff.
Oh..back on topic, yeah, inFAMOUS is pretty damn good.I was sold as soon as the demo confirmed smooth, fluid controls.

Keep it short and simple, and straight to the point. I like the part where you gave him the atomic elbows.

That's not very far into the game at all. I liked your short and sweet review(?) but maybe at least get to the rail/wire-grinding level up before judging. At the point you were at you dont really feel like an bad ass yet.

Have fun, im really enjoying the game and the only thing i don't like is the sewer mission. Unfortunately those are also the missions you get your new abilities from.

my first playthrough with about 6 dead drops. Things that you can get any time are not a good indicator of how far into the game a person is. inFAMOUS is a great PS3 exclusive and everyone should at least try it out. I just finished getting my platinum today. :)

just playing the demo left me wanting to play more, the feel to play with that type of power, lightning grenades?, graphics could have been better, but just having great game play, for me is good..
and ya,, it deserves better scores.
get the game!!!!

Feels off ive seen a ton of younger kids get more into traditional gaming through the switch.

Mario and even sonic are still huge franchises that kids want to get all the merchandise for and I think more traditional gaming will stay safe.

Review - System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remastered (PC) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Kyle Nicol: "System Shock 2 is an all-time great, easily one of the most important games of all time, and Nightdive’s 25th Anniversary Remaster edition makes it a touch more accessible without ever gutting its core, or anything that made it so cherished in the first place. The excellent core gameplay and stellar level design come together for an unforgettable experience. Furthermore, the fact it works shockingly well on a controller is already something worthy of a medal of honor for the studio. Now, while we’re at it, where’s that System Shock 3 we were promised all those years ago? I’m hungry for more!"
