2011 big year in gaming!

2011 will no doubt be one of the biggest years in gaming this generation! Featuring games such as Mass Effect 3, Uncharted 3, Portal 2, Elder Scrolls V, Killzone 3, Gears of War 3, Forza 4, Batman Arkham City, Little Big Planet... Must I go on? PS3, xbox360, PC, who wins? Everyone.(Unfortunately there have been no very big Nintendo games announced, but in time they will be.)

But what is a gamer? Someone who raids non stop in World of Warcraft and yet still has time to rank up in Halo Reach? Someone who collects all bandages and unlocks all secret characters in Super Meat Boy? Someone who collects all stickers and costumes possible in Little Big Planet? Someone who does a speed run of Donkey Kong Country Returns? Everyone, and anyone, who loves to play games casually or seriously is a gamer.

No matter what console is your favorite this generation, just remember, we are all winners in the year of 2011.

Yup, theres about 15 games I'll buy day 1 next year, and another 15 that I will probably pick up a bit latter as well.

So much stuff to do in this that it may be too much. But I respect the ambition.

Donkey Kong Framedrop-ananza :(

Indeed, decent looking game but this is what happens when Nintendo release what is essentially a Switch Pro late, it was ready to release 2-3 years ago.

I can't seem to get excited about this game for some reason, and I don't know what it is. I guess I just care more about the Donkey Kong Country franchise more. I do miss Diddy. It may be something I take a risk on later during a Black Friday sale in a year or 2, but I'm in no rush to pick it up next month.

It might be because Nintendo are basically making all their games big and open, and when they do this they can seem pretty dull if there's not much there.. (Mario Kart World)

I prefer levels tightly made with some open areas, like they did with Mario 3D World and Land.

Big and open ain't always better if it's super boring and lacking content especially.

Neon Abyss 2 Adds Co-op, Will Blast Onto Steam Early Access in July

"The original Neon Abyss is a roguelike run-and-gun shooter whose most memorable feature was the ability to wield a cat as a gun. I found the game to be whelming, but not overwhelming. Co-op support would surely have improved its staying power. Thankfully, Neon Abyss 2 will kick things up a few notches thanks to the inclusion of 4-player online co-op. The new Steam demo shows off that co-op support and lots more," says Co-Optimus.
