Yep, just one, exclusively speaking that is
Multi-Plat it has many. but multi-plat means its available on PS3 too, and if someone is wanting to buy a console a multi-plat certainly cant sell it if they can just as easily buy the game on another console.
So lets talk, AAA Exclusive titles for the Xbox360
it is no doubt that it has been a disappointing year for the 360 up until now, with Fable II and Gears Of War 2.
So what is this ONE single AAA Title? why it is Gears Of War 2 of course, and thats it, for the entire year people.
Now i know many of you will try and say Fable II is AAA, but it isn't, technically speaking a game has to have 90+ on Metacritic to be considered a true AAA
(AAA is defined by score and not a gamers opinion no matter how many of them they are)
So Fable II is out, but oh wait! of course Left 4 Dead will end up with a higher than 90 on Metacritic you silly brit!
But Left 4 Dead is not an exclusive is it?
No. because we all know, Left 4 Dead is primarily a PC game, and have no doubt my fellow gamers the PC experience of Left 4 Dead will be Far superior on the PC than the 360
therefor it is not a 360 exclusive. PS3 exclusive for example are just that, it is physically impossible to play the game anywhere else besides a
Sony Playstation 3
and of course, neither PSN nor XBLA titles are included in this people, we are talking real actual retail games.
Now
PS3 - 3 AAA Titles
360 - 1 AAA Title
PS3 having, LittleBigPlanet (which out scores the likes of Gears 1 and Halo 3 the 360's biggest franchises)
Resistance 2 (Currently having a 91 on Meta and is only going to go upwards)
MGS4 (what more can be said? most epic game of the year)
So there you have it folks. i guess it truly was, the PS3's Year
Clearly, year 2008 has been quite disappointing for 360 fans, and 2009 doesn't look good either with only Alan Wake as major exclusive...
alan awake... pfff
why do you try so hard.
why did you waste your time making this blog ?Are you trying to convince yourself ?
By the way Resistance is only 89 on metacritic.
Anyway why so obssesed with AAA.You want to tell me if its not AAA you arent going to play it ? You arent going to play Res 2 or because its 89% on Metacritic that means NOT AAA
Sad sad sad
No kidding, my sole gaming experience is the PC although I get to play consoles at my friend's house. and we still have countless fun with older games via co-op.
I tried to set-up a co-op beta on the PSN, oh that was a headache!
Metacritic compiled scores, regardless how many tallied, are still subjective and carry little weight in actual game value.
Take for example Konami's tour-de-force MGS4. Great ratings on Metacritic but how was it received? Remember, this is the game you claim is the "most epic game of the year!" Let's see how it fared in the real world, where wallets count got more than any "game critic" score:
Metal Gear Solid 4: Worldwide sales
Week 21: 13,355 units - Total sales: 3,351,546 units
Halo 3: Worldwide sales
Week 58: 24,557 units - Total sales: 8,369,393 units
Halo 3, a game that's been out almost 3x longer than MGS4 is selling at virtually 2x the weekly volume as a your touted "most epic game of the year."
Now let's look at second pairing:
LittleBigPlanet: Worldwide sales
Week 2: 254,024 - YTD: 398,458
Fable II: Worldwide sales
Week 2: 325,064 - YTD: 1,325,965
There is little doubt that GeOW 2 sales will trounce those of ReFOM 2's sales.
So to your claim: this is "the PS3's Year!" This answer is: HARDLY!
Nintendo's Wii is the overall winner; none can dispute this. But as the "next-gen" battlers seem obsessed with the grudge match between the Xbos 360 and the PS3, it is truly only fairly gauged by the critics of the world. And those ratings are demonstrated by actual sales and not the whimsy of "professional" reviewers.
Sorry.
