How much do you play?

Hey all! I am writing a piece in school about computer-games and I wanted to ask this community a couple of questions. Please answer them below :)

How much do you play per week?

What genre is your personal favorite?

What's your favorite game of all time?

What game, among the ones you play at the moment, is your favorite?

It would help me out a lot :)!

I usually play a fair amount each week, definitely more-so on the weekends since college takes up so much time. Perhaps about 20-25? It can vary but I'd say about that most weeks.

My personal favourite genre is RPGs now, never really got into them until around a year or two ago when I played Fallout 3 and Final Fantasy XIII (well thats defined as a JRPG but still counts for me!). Used to be action/adventure.

Favourite game of all time used to be Metal Gear Solid, until I played Mass Effect. I really just adore both games so much though, but Mass Effect really is just an almost perfect game for me.

Of those I'm playing currently, it's Mass Effect since I'm doing more playthroughs in preparation of Mass Effect 3 in a few months. But I do play Pro Evolution Soccer quite often during the week since I can just pick it up and play whenever I like, whearas with a game like ME I prefer to have a good bit of time to play it and get into it.

Hope that helps. ;)

I clock 15 to 20 hours a week due to my heavy schedule.
Back in my school days I used to clock way over 40 a week.
Ever since I started Electrical Engineering, there hasn't been time enough...
My fav genre is Action Adventure/Hack and Slash with plenty of puzzles..
Currently I'm on a self imposed gaming ban in view of my oncoming exams, but the last game I played was Darksiders

How much do you play per week?

Right now with school on I don't play much during the week, probably around 10 hours a week. On holidays though it can get to around 30-40.

What genre is your personal favorite?

My favourite genre is either shooters or adventure games, I also like Play Create Share (LBP). I'm a bit more off shooters than I used to be with the oversatturation of them right now.

What's your favorite game of all time?

Hard to say, I'm a pretty new gamer, like I just started this gen. I fell in love with LBP when I first played it, but I think my favourite game of all time had to be COD4, I loved it so much when I first started gaming, its what I most played and enjoyed all the time.

What game, among the ones you play at the moment, is your favorite?

Right now its killzone 3 :D

Hope it helped- bring in an A :P

~15 hours a week. School is heavy right now so I'll be lucky to get that much in in a week these days.

FPS For life.

Team Fortress 2

Crysis 2

around 30-40 hours. sometimes less due to homework and stuff (graduating in 1 semester yay!!!)

Personal favorite will be JRPG for sure, especially Suikoden series (except 3)

Favorite game is a tie between Suikoden 2 and FF IV (old one, not the nds version).

Favorite at the moment is a tie again between Yakuza 4 and Phoenix Wright (all of them :D). oh, and FIFA 10 ultimate edition. Just bought the DLC and it is very addictive!!!

Good luck

hopefully VRR via a firmware update is released for docked play as well (like the PS5 did post release)

fr0sty6h ago(Edited 6h ago)

There's actually a pretty long list of games on PS5 that support 120hz. Even more with 60+hz unlocked, and that isn't even counting PS5 Pro.

err...is it even HDMI 2.1 on that thing?

repsahj6h ago(Edited 6h ago)

Yes, according to the dock teardown. It contains HDMI hardware chip of Realtek RTD2175N that supports 4K 120hz. And the HDMI included on the Switch 2 is HDMI 2.1.

I'm happy for Nintendo. Even though the Switch 2 has received so much hate just to bring it down, it hasn't won. Even though some are saying they'll boycott Nintendo, it hasn't affected sales. Especially now, with word of mouth that the system is good, demand for the Switch 2 will definitely increase more.

Profchaos10h ago

Yeah loud minorities that were not going to buy it anyway

ZeekQuattro1h ago

Considering the record sales the Switch 2 is seeing around the globe its clear a portion of the loud minority clearly bought the device.

Profchaos10h ago(Edited 10h ago)

But But the internet told me the switch 2 was going to be a failure.

Such a good system im having a blast with it and really enjoying my first ever playthrough of yakuza 0

You shouldn’t care about the sales of a game company

babadivad9h ago

Sold through or to the stores? Asking because they're tons of them at my local Best Buy. When the PS5 and Series consoles launched, you couldn't find them anywhere.

OtterX8h ago(Edited 8h ago)

The article clearly says sold. If it were shipped, it would say shipped.

Nintendo had been saying the last year or so that they would be flooding stock so that scalpers would not be an issue. They've followed through with their word. It's not cutting edge tech, so it's been easier for them to sit on stock for a while until it accumulated to a massive number available to be shipped.

Good-Smurf8h ago(Edited 8h ago)

Good for them, I'm still not buying.
Looks to be a pretty safe and boring upgrade over Switch 1 which I don't think they can top it on how plain looking it is design wise.
Shame since Switch Lite showed they still know how to make a handheld that looks good and is actually portable in a classic Nintendo sense.
That's why I got one over Switch 2's block of charcoal.
Then there's the prices of it all and the whole Key card thing destroyed any sense of game ownership.

Profchaos8h ago

There'll be a number of revisions for the s2 like a s2 lite or oled also seems inevitable

Good-Smurf7h ago

Unless they drop the prices and actually has a more portable variant that can also dock then maybe I'll reconsider but as of now, nope too big too boring and expensive to make it worth this early, not enough of its own games atm as well.

Profchaos6h ago

Who knows removing the dock capabilities would lower the cost of the unit pretty significantly.

The cost of the dock, reduction in shipping costs etc bug savings which will enable a cheaper system
