The team behind Into the Radius, CM Games, has confirmed its time-looping puzzler UnLoop is heading to VR headsets in September.
The Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition has arrived for $399.99, but we wonder if it was really needed or just a simple cash-in.
We're talking about a limited edition item here, and by definition, those aren’t exactly 'needed'. But when you look at what’s included, the controller, the strap, and a few months of Game Pass, it actually turns out to be a surprisingly good deal.
What’s weird is that this is a VR headset branded with Xbox, a platform that doesn’t even support VR. And Xbox is part of Microsoft, a company that more or less walked away from all of its VR efforts. Yet somehow, this ends up being the best value available for a VR headset. If you're looking to get into VR, unless you're buying used, it’s hard to find anything that offers more for the price.
Nope, wasn't need, but It's another incentive to try GP, and retain increase or maintain subs.
It lends to the "Everything is an Xbox" marketing they have going on...if it has a screen, it's a Xbox.
I don't see the harm here, it's a limited item...shit MS and Sony have Sneaker deals as well, are those necessary? Nope, but if you like PS or Xbox, or are a collector of limited edition of stuff then, why not?
I snatched one up from Best Buy’s yesterday. Resellers already charging almost $700 for one.
Since it's a limited edition it's fine it's probably more good for Meta than the Xbox division.
But if it was a permanent thing for sale then yer it would be pointless. As you have been able to stream Xbox and Xbox gamepass games to the VR since the Quest 2. You can't connect it up to a series s or x and start playing native VR games on your Xbox consoles (some uninformed people are going to be annoyed). It's just a bog standard quest 3s painted black with a Xbox sticker on it. That also comes with a sub to GP and a Xbox controller bundled in.
With this everything's a Xbox campaign they have. Would be cool if they release Xbox branded playstation controllers and shells for the console as well as switch 2 controllers.
Dada Zubaaan (weird name) brings the classic pipe puzzle game to VR in full 360 degrees, with a free demo available now.
Looking to release some of that anger? Here's the 7 most violent VR games you can play on your headset today!
Lol, maybe I'm becoming an old fart, but excessive violence in VR seems to bother me more than in flat games. Feels more visceral when you're looking a person in the eyes before mutilating them.
By no means am I trying to be a prude and saying these games shouldn't exist. I just play them more sparingly, need more breaks. I need some beautiful, refreshing & relaxing VR experiences too to balance them out so I don't feel so heavy.
