From Amazon: Storage - The console will have internal flash memory, as well as the option to expand its memory using either an SD memory card or an external USB hard disk drive. CPU - IBM Power-based multi-core microprocessor. GPU - AMD Radeon-based High Definition GPU. Other - Four USB 2.0 connector slots are included. The new console is backward compatible with Wii games and Wii accessories.
4 usb slots, sd card slots and internal memory... I wonder how much of this is true, ad if maybe Amazon is going to be in trouble... ^_^;
Bleeding edge tech, power, full backward compatibility, and games starting at 49.99 each. Looks like next generation will be a might swell time to be a Nintendo supporter.
If this holds any weight at all, Nintendo is on the right track once again for a successful outing.
hmmm well the internal Flash memory might not be huge but I hope its at least 32gb, or is that asking too much? if it has SD support it would be nice as you can buy 64gb SD cards and they are priced, somewhat, fairly:
I don't get this usb stuff, but I would imagine that 2.0 is more widespread and affordable. Why put money and focus on something few will utilize? I don't see any problem with an outdated usb. After all, it suited people just fine before now.
Yeah Im really drifting towards buying this on release day but I will until E3 until I make a definite answer! Havnt looked forward to E3 in a while but A HD Nintendo machine is what I have been waiting for! Metroid and Zelda in HD!!!!!!! CANT WAIT!
I don't think it is necessarily bad as long as you understand what you are actually getting into. Jumping in full of hype without really knowing what you are buying is never a good idea.
Not really. It's notoriously easy to develop on Wii U devkits, remember? Maybe Nintendo managed to find a way to make HD gaming easy and cheap to develop games for.
Activision has already gone on record in support of the Wii U. Capcom, well who knows. Though they've been very supportive of Nintendo platforms even since the Gamecube.
If Nintendo is planning on keeping games at the $50 Price range, this is about to get really interesting at e3. The price of a console alone is a major impulse buy or not for most people. But to say the system will have cheaper games than the current systems, but still be HD could be a major game changer.
Seriously? I see articles about how games should be cheaper popping up all the time and you're actually complaining about it? You should be celebrating since this is a victory for gamers! Unless of course these are only placeholder prices which could still happen...
Complaining? that's not complaining that's making an inference buddy. I'm inferring that if games are that cheap then the tech behind them wont be so advanced like some ppl wish it was. Don't misconstrue what I'm saying because in no form or fashion and I'm saying games shouldn't be 49.99.

That's really hard to believe (unless true, then excite! xD).
@Fossilfern
Holy &*%$! That's a great price! I would probably use that card for the 3DS and Wii U, if I can acquire one (hopefully, it doesn't sell out).
You can count Capcom and Activision out of development support. Since they won't be liking the price tag. XD

49.99 oh wow whoever said bleeding edge tech will be highly disappointed. WII all over again, so so sad.
