There was a time, not so long ago, when I really loved the idea of a digital future. The concept of having everything at my fingertips without having to worry about a disc drive failing or scratching my discs is, in my mind, the future. It still amazes me that I have literally hundreds of games on my PC, Xbox 360, PS3 and even my phone and will never have to put a disc in a tray to play them.
What sucks about digital games is that the price breaks are not there yet for console versions of games.
My biggest fear about digital-only games, is the possibility that we could end up with tons of shovel-ware. Look at all the crap games you find on iphone. The only I trust to keep a high standard in the arena of digital games, is Valve at the moment.
don't really want to pay the MS price. Every game in Oz would be $100 if they had their way. goodbye clearance sales and bargain bins.
otherwise i don't care. the old school in me likes physical discs but the sloth in me likes my ass on my couch too much
