Avid Gamer writes;
"It was eighteen years ago that Speedball was released on the Amiga. Many of the series' fans are now into their late twenties, early thirties so the choice to modernise the game is an unusual one. The game is unlikely to get noticed by today's teenagers as their too wrapped up in Call of Duty 4 and World of Warcraft and any intention to appeal to the original's fans will most likely be greeted by harsh nostalgic cries that it shouldn't' be done. The game is developed by Kylotom, the minds behind 'Bet on Soldier,' so their experience with 'fictional e-sports' is obviously relevant but could they successfully refashion the franchise or does Speedball 2: Tournament overdose on its ambitions?"

I second that :)
winning a match 300/400 - 0 is fun (especially when the points are from physically beating the team >:) )
I remember Speedball 1. I'm pretty sure if this gmae got a remake then it would be Esport worthy.
Neocrisis: The Bitmap Brothers classic futuristic sports game will be going live on Sony Playstation 3 and PSP next week as a Minis game.
We all love a good game – if we didn’t then we wouldn’t be here now, on this site, am I right? Well like all good things video games “came” from somewhere. From those early days of pubescent sweat infused bedrooms. From the fledgling start-ups trying their utmost to get financial backing from anyone other than their parents before their company sank. All these classic games that formed the foundations for the massive multi-billion pound/dollar industry we see today had one thing in common – the dedicated people behind them.
