Goldhawk Interactive's campaign to raise $50,000 through the Kickstarter programme has already proven to be a huge success, with more than 50% of the total goal raised in just over 24 hours. GamingLives writes:

What you may not know, however, is that Goldhawk Interactive, headed by lead developer Chris England, have been working on a true-to-original remake using the same top-down approach for the last three years."
XCOM like games have become very popular in recent years but some of them definitely stick to the original formula closer than others.
