I would estimate it has 2-4 more years of run time left in it before its completely DEAD!!! (except for WoW which has a CULT following)

THIS DEATH IS due in part to OVERspec'd games like Crysis making it impossible for the average PC gamer to play

I love total war, and when i tried to play it on my brand new comp I bought from Dell, it laged so much I just quit trying to play. Comp Games are cool looking, but they don't have the community and ease that consoles can bring to you. PC games are for people who are nerds. I think Wow is over rated, I have it and only my cousin plays it, its retarded. Open worlds are cool, but there is no depth in the game. Crysis looks cool, but its coming to the ps3 and 360, so why do i need to play comp games again? I got a 1080p tv set, and a ps3, I dont need to spend 200+ dollars to uprade my ps3,, screw comp games!

PC games have the LARGEST communities, look at the mod communities for Steam and Oblivion, the amount of modded material that is made is massive.

PC games are a gimmick? Hardly. Well maybe they are if you try and play them on a $100 Dell computer.

And if PC gamers are nerds, what does that make console gamers?

And since when was Crysis coming to the PS3 and the 360? Even if they do make a console version, it'll be a mere shadow of the PC version, with washed-out detail levels, dumber enemies, and loading screens every two minutes.

Well latest I heard was that Crytek are developing their next game (NOT porting Crysis) on the PS3 with brand new "secret" technology. I'm not sure whether or not that will also be on 360. Expect it to look f*cking amazing considering that Crytek are one of the forerunners of gaming tech.

And by the way, PC gamers ARE on average more nerdy than console gamers, mainly because PC gaming require far more tech knowledge, especially in upgrading, than console gaming. OF course, on the other hand, total non-gamers are far more likely to play games on a pc, such as the sims, seeing as most people already have a computer decent enough to run more casual pc games.

Also nice to see the best of the bunch like Fall Out are going to make there way to consoles. I wonder if Crytek will port FAR CRY 2 over to the 360? If any one knows let me know wus up.

Yes UBISOFT MONTREAL are porting Farcry 2 over to the 360 and PS3.

PC gaming isn't going anywhere for the most important fact that anyone can develop a game for the PC. You don't need to purchase a development kit from Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo and you can market your game anyway you want.

Now this part of PC gamer's article is huge. Not only FarCry 2 is here but also the king, the god, the uber RPG known as Fallout 3 is also here.
