"Retrospective Return is a look at older games to see whether they're worth a revisit. Ranging from unknown gems to bargain bin failures, we'll revisit any games that we think deserve it.
Gotcha Force is a troubled gem. First off its one of those games that you find yourself continually returning to, revisiting it on and off when you get the sudden urge to play something familiar. It's got quirky characters, first-rate gameplay and an easy to use interface. On the other hand, it's got peculiar AI and monotonous aural qualities. It isn't a game for everyone but Gotcha Force is a game that you'll abnormally want to keep playing until its 100% complete."
As consoles go, the Gamecube is pretty underrated, so it stands to reason that a lot of its games are too.
Without doubt for me it would be Eternal Darkness, one of the best videogames ever made IMO.
Paper Mario Thousand Year Door is just incredible, I really hope Nintendo will do a remaster or remake of it.
Big fan of Gotcha Force. A true hidden gem that rarely gets mentioned. It played a lot like Federation Vs. Zeon which is one or my favorite PS2 games.
No Paper Mario, Geist, or Eternal Darkness is surprising. Games like Second Sight can at least be played on other platforms, but some of those games are exceedingly expensive (should you want to play them on original hardware). I've got a handful of them, but Gotcha Force will sadly never end up in my collection at $700 for a CIB copy.
The crew goes through and covers topics from the week including the return of the Overwatch beta, the reveal of The Culling, Metal Gear Solid V’s upcoming DLC, Firewatch photos, David Gaider taking the throne and what happens when you smash two portals together while inside of them in Portal… personally, I think the computer should have crashed hard and never turned back on.
The topic of the week was Diamonds in the Rough, or, what games the crew thought were the most underrated. Some interesting and nostalgic gems were brought up and Myles’ pick will surprise no one… he hasn’t talked about it 490491 times before. Regardless, listeners and viewers, what’s the most underrated game in YOUR opinion? MONG!

The Gamecube had some excellent games, and some are still fan favourites of their respective franchises. Classics like Super Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime One and Two, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Mario Kart: Double Dash and Super Smash Bros. Melee are all remembered fondly and revered by many people, rightly so. However, there are other games on the Gamecube that have been lost in time and forgotten by all except the small few who played them
Played (and owned) them all barring, Gotcha Force!? Never even heard of it until this point.
Well...I haven't played Doshin or Gotcha Force...but the rest are kinda meh. They are good if you are a GameCube collector I suppose. Fire Emblem Path of Radiance should be included and maybe Cubivore too (which are uber-rare now-yikes)
