Oh man the nostalgia. Years ago before everyone else invaded the internet space file planet used to provide pc gamers with updates, mods, patches etc

i remember dling half life mods from there

its retired with honor.

FilePlanet was the main source for me for downloading BF1942 and BF2 mods and patches.

I'm sad to see its shutting down.

Fileplanet was THE spot for all sorts of free game orientated stuff back in the day. But I guess in time as technology changed, it became less useful for people over time compared to the growing options out there.

Still, Fileplanet will have a place in many people's hearts and memory.

I haven't used them in years and since there are no jobs being kicked, no loss. Anyone know why they are shutting down?
