Consoles I have known and loved

TVGB: "I’ll start this off by saying that I’ll just be talking about consoles here, not PC gaming. I’m not doing this because I think one is better than the other—I know that sort of claim gets thrown around by both camps and just ends in shin-kicking and eye-gouging. I just prefer consoles; I’ve been playing on them for most of my life."

I once loved a console...but a trip to the hospital for a fractured penis ended that relationship.

On topic. I was unlucky enough not experience consoles before the PS1 due to being an active child at the time, but once my parents got me a gameboy colour and pokemon blue gaming became a big part of my life. Since then I've owned a PS1, PS2, PS3 an Xbox and an Xbox 360 and I've loved all of them.

Sega Genesis
my future..

Atari: pong, 2600, jaguar w/cd, lynx

Sony: ps1, ps2, ps3, psp (1000/2000), psp-go

NEC: turbografx w/cd, turboduo, turboexpress

MS: xbox, 360

Nintendo: nes, snes, n64, gamecube w/gba player, wii, gameboy, gameboy pocket, gameboycolor, gameboy micro, gba, gba-sp, ds, dslite, dsi, 3ds

Sega: master system, genesis w/cd, genesis-2 w/cd-2, 32x, cdx, saturn (old model), saturn (new model), dreamcast, gamegear w/mastergear adp, nomad

SNK: neogeo cart, neogeo cd, neogeo pocket color

Odd/ends: Pioneer CLDA100 Laseractive w/genesis module, Toshiba SD-2300 NUON

Yeah...I am serious about collecting but I can't call myself a 'core' gamer anymore because I dont have the time to invest into "playing" like I did when I was younger. So while the list may seem impressive, my list of games for each is even more impressive.

The genesis system is my all time favorite with over 150 carts and over 50 cd games. Getting old is a bitch and my kids have no idea the dedication I had to this hobby back then. youngest son does. He has taken up the craft and earns me trophies/achievements in games I start but dont finish. Is that wrong for a parent to use their kid that way?

I loved my Atari 2600, PS1, PS2, and now PS3. I had meaningless flings with my Odyssey, Colecovision, NES, and SNES.

Alot of ppl dont mention the turbografx 16 but it had some solid titles like bonk, castlevania, some cool rpg titles as well and it looked cool.
