More Than a Copy - Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale

Totalplaystation.com's Vincent Ingenito had the pleasure of being there in Hollywood for Sony's unveiling of Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale, and came away really stoked with how it looks and plays so far.

Sounds very interesting. The super only kill system seems like a cool concept. Reading this has really increased my interest in this game.

You get KO'd by more than just supers. You can get killed by things in the environment as well. Take enough hits from the rain of golf balls and you get KO'd and if you fall into the water the fish could eat you to KO you as well.

It still looks a tad bit slower gameplay. Not FPS but fighting wise. I wonder what the control scheme looks like.

X to jump

Square, Triangle, & Circle to Neutral attack

Direction (d-pad or left analog stick) + face button (aside from X) to do other attacks

L1 to block (aside from Sly who disappears instead; invisible attacks can steal AP from opponents to build up your meter)

L1 + Direction (d-pad or left analog stick)to roll

R1 to pick up & drop items

Right analog stick to grab

R2 to activate super (supers are locked to level so if you have a level 3 built up then you can't use a level 1 or 2)

I think R1 or maybe L1 is to dash while in the air.
