GR - "It's as if the artists only understand the concept of a woman, but not what a woman actually looks like."
It is an interesting art choice, but I like it
Oh please, this is totally modest compared to a lot of stuff in Japan lol! XD
To be fair, that's a pretty impressive drawing of a rhinoceros...especially since the guy who drew it had never seen one in his life.
Why exactly do people seem to think a highly stylized look is a bad thing? The game looks unique and different if people don't like the way it looks then don't follow the game or buy it. Vanillaware games have always had a very stylized look so why this is something new is beyond me.
Doesn't anyone know the concept of an over exaggerated form anymore? If the person was going for realism then I can see people criticizing them but if they did it on purpose what is the problem? It's the same nonsense I have to argue with people with One Piece. If you purposefully draw something a certain way does that make it bad art? I don't exactly remember these types of games actually going for realistic forms. In Odin Sphere Lord Brigan and the Demon Lord Odin had legs and feet that looked like they were too small for their body like Johnny Bravo was. @ rataranian. Yeah. The gaming world always acts like no girl in the world has huge boobs. My two sisters are very busty women but they just don't wear tight clothes or low neck blouses. What do people have against women with big breasts? I know many women who have big breasts and are very strong, smart, independent women. Is that the only thing people judge women on?
I dont get it. I've seen some girls have huge boobs like that before. They might not be wearing low cut witch costumes but still. :)
I don't get it.....sooo the writer is complaining that the artist whats his characters to look like that?
Another politically-correct, castrated blogger "voicing out" against the atrocities committed against women because of how they're depicted in games/cartoons/comics. Some artists like to create characters with huge boobs and asses. Get over it. If the artwork offends your sensitivities so much, don't buy the game.
check out that side boob
Nothing wrong with the style. Actually, I like the style Vanillaware uses for their games, and Dragon's Crown is no exception. I can't even really justify the author's reaction with any sort of reason, as it's obviously lacking.
The art is fine, and the artist can draw however he/she damn well pleases. "It's as if the artists only understand the concept of a woman, but not what a woman actually looks like." Give me a break, lots of characters don't look like their real life counterpart, Sonic, Mario, etc. Not every game has to be realistic.
