Pikimal: When I was growing up, video games didn’t have to make sense. You had your good guys, and pretty much everything to the right of you was a bad guy. You didn’t question why they were bad guys or what exactly what it was you were fighting, because you were too busy putting bullets in them before they did the same to you.

When I got to the end of a sea base level of Majestic-12 and found myself in a life or death struggle with a dolphin in a mech suit, I knew I was playing one of those kinds of games.

GHN: Majestic-12 Review

GHN: I remember when I was a kid, going to my first arcade and playing The Cowboys of Moo Mesa with friends, for me there’s nothing better than fighting waves of enemies with yourself and a friend. Majestic-12 a co-op, side-scrolling shooting game from Exis Interactive, is a fantastic throwback to old-school shooters like Contra, where video games didn’t have to make sense. Who are the guys your shooting at? Are you actually the bad guys? These questions never actually cropped up because you were too busy putting bullets into anything and everything before they did the same to you and it’s this simple, yet fun concept that makes this game a real joy to play.
