Possible GTA V Censorship After Release Based From History

Techtorial: History shows past Grand Theft Auto titles have been notoriously listed by regulatory boards for censorship. Question is, will GTA V face the same treatment?

why make it a mature title. No limits. Most everyone who will purchase it will be over 18 anyway.

Don't quote me on this but I think he's talking about making it a tasteful AO game instead of the rated M.

*Little boy plays GTAV.
*Little boy hears bad language.
*Little boy uses bad language.
*Little boy's mother hears little boy using bad language.
*Little boy's mother contacts Fox News.
*Fox News show "Little boy uses bad language and tries to kill sister over GTAV" stories.
*Concerned parents everywhere go berserk over their little boys playing GTAV.
*Parent groups try to ban GTAV.
All this will likely happen and not one person from the media will ask:
WHY WAS YOUR LITTLE BOY PLAYING AN ADULT RATED GAME?.

GoldenAge4389d ago

That is the most annoying thing about those kinds of people, I mean the age rating is right there in the front of the box.

They choose to ignore it and refuse to take any responsibility that is the saddest part of it all.

DeadManMcCarthy4389d ago (Edited 4389d ago )

Yep parents who buy their children adult rated games and complain about it should be arrested. It's like an adult buying a minor some alcohol then complaining that the minor got drunk. Pretty stupid how people are these days.

koh4389d ago

I actually have a bigger problem with the step "Little boy's mother contacts Fox news". While little kids obviously shouldn't be playing adult games, little boys are going to learn bad language at some point anyways, and it's the parents job to teach the kid why the words are inappropriate and punish them when it is needed. It's a major cop-out by parents to blame the original source of the language instead of actually parenting and talking to their children.

AzaziL4385d ago (Edited 4385d ago )

Instead of going through all those steps, it could all be avoided if the parents do a little something called, um you know, PARENTING.

Like checking up on what your kids are doing during their free time and making sure they don't have any games that you wouldn't approve of.

Parents are so damn lazy these days, they don't even discipline their children and expect big brother to do that for them as well.

More interested in money than giving fans what they want. Such a shame

CrimsonWing693d ago

With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.

I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.

Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder

Ikr mfs that greedy it's ridiculous

andy853d ago

This makes me sad. Trevor was one of my favourite characters in gaming

One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all
