The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition Review - Blistered Thumbs

Yousif A.: "I have to admit I was a little worried about this one. Some may remember that the original Witcher title was scheduled for release on PS3, but was cancelled very late in production. So when I heard that CD Projekt Red were developing an ‘enhanced’ version of The Witcher 2 for Xbox 360, I had some doubts about it ever coming out. Thankfully for 360 owners everywhere I was wrong."

"While the 360 version is absolutely nowhere near the PC version on full spec, that doesn’t stop it from being one of the best out there."

at least they are honest, saw this game on 360, it's not even close to the pc on the lowest possible settings in sub-hd 720p.

edit, i thought it was at 720p, it is actually 672p

whatevs though, its an awesome game, i just hate all the reviews acting like its even close to the pc version in terms of graphics, thats like comparing a ds game to uncharted 2, the difference is MONUMENTAL!

But if you sit and compare it to the PC version then you are no longer reviewing the merits of the 360 version, which avoids the whole point of the review. This is at least the way i see it.

I agree that it should be compared to other games on the 360 more than anything, but some people may be considering whether to get it on the 360 or the PC so a few lines describing differences might be useful.

In any case, this is one of the best games I have ever played.

I don't know why someone playing the game on 360 would care if it looks better on PC. When I played Skyrim on 360, I never felt for one second that I was missing anything that the PC offers to make the game better for me. It looked great on the 360. If it looks even better on PC, that is fine. But, I still prefer to play my games on the 360 and would enjoy them more than when I play the same games on PC. I don't care how much prettier they look. I played games on PC years ago, but no longer feel compleled to do so.

I don't care to know the pixel count. It just has to look and play well
