This game was made 10m away from me with our tax dollars. Glad it is doing well.

Why would tax dollars be going towards a video game? I wouldn't really be happy about the game being made with tax dollars unless the gov or public or whatever is benifitting in some way.

Part of the budget for this game (or rather, part of the budget of the company who made it) was from a loan the founded took off the state.

As for benefits, paying the money back aside, it did help provide more than a few jobs (450, or so a few sources say), which was the main reason they lent the cash.

Thanks for clearing that up. Good to know tax dollars are put to good use sometimes and the public actually recieves something back sometimes.
