Is Resident Evil 5 coming to us this year?

During an interview by Gamespot at this years CES (Posted here today). an MS employee says the magic words 'Resident Evil 5' not once but twice. Note: he is only talking about 2008 games, nothing on 2009, so I'm sure we can take this with a lot more than a pinch or salt.

I'm pretty sure Capcom said '09. Despite was MS says I'm pretty sure Capcom is still making the game and should know better about when the game will come out.

MS was under the impression GTA IV was still being released in October (which is why they moved Halo 3's release date to September).. just because an MS employee says a 3rd party game is releasing on such and such date doesn't mean it's true or solid.

A link would be nice. Capcom had the 360 development kits first and I'm pretty sure they started work on the game before they had any PS3 development kits.

Resident Evil is massive in Japan, there 360 is non existent. It is JAPANESE studio and they will have PS3 as lead platform. Just look at DMC4. PS3 is lead platform and has better version (check 1UP show). 2+2=4 it is easy to come to that conclusion that they ARE using PS3 as lead platform.
ANd i almost forgot RE5 started on PS3 as exclusive if you remember and just like DMC4 later went multiplatform because 360 was doing so well in NA.

actually RE5 was first announced as a ps3 exclusive but shortly after they switched it to multi-platform, so actually they started the ps3 code a little bit before the 360, whether this affects the overall outcomes of the versions i am not sure but i just wanted to tell you that what you said isn't right

The RE5 trailer was shown at E3 2005 and was announced for both 360 and PS3.

For your information I had a 360 and traded it in just for this reason because I knew by the time the new year would come around there was going to be a shift in the amount of exclusives for the ps3 and economically also. I saw all the titles soon to come for the ps3 and looked at the xbox 360 and OMG halo 3 and gears of war...??? Thats it?? and then fable 2 and gears of war 2 and halo wars?? are you kidding me?? I did my chainsawing of peoples bodies and Ive done all the crap with halo up till captain ranking..Its plain boring now..disagree with me if you want to. But Im sorry a bunch of spartans running around with different colors respawning all over a grassy plain shooting each other can get very old..Maybe fun for drinking ..like at a party..it kind of enjoyable..But please dude dont tell me that you wouldnt like the ps3 for the fact of MGS4, final fantasy 13, haze ( which people dont even talk about ne more) LBP and so much more that I dont feel like listing all 100 of them or so.

whatever floats your boat , you play what you want to play! for me... i keep my opinion open ,i have had good fun with all the systems . at present the 360 is keeping me busy! and there are games that i like coming this year. the fact you traded in you 360 has no effect on my life what so ever!
