A prequel is the way to go.

I'm still playing Gears of War 3 on a daily basis, drop me a message if anyone is up for a few games.

I've been playing the Gears of War franchise since the release date of the original and am an absolute fanatic (So much so that after my 360 broke a week prior to the launch of Gears of War 3 instead of sending it off to be fixed I went to the midnight launch and purchased the Gears of War 3 Limited Edition Console because I didn't want to have to wait to play it along with the Epic Edition (Of which I'd Pre-Ordered) and the season pass). For me, I'd hate a Pendulum Wars game, why? Because the Locust bring something to the franchise that without would be awkward, I don't want Space Marine on Space Marine, it would take much of the essence out of the franchise.

For me, I believe Epic should continue to support Gears of War 3 with DLC and focus efforts on a Next Generation Title running on the next Unreal Engine and the concept for how the Locust can return... I'd live a game detailing the events unto Marcus' imprisonment and Emergence day, the novels and comics are great for expanding the story but I'd like to witness emergence day on a Next Generation Console...

What's next.....Gears of War 4?

Congratulations for completely missing the point of the article for the sake of a witty comment.

Just because I chose to add a witty comment, doesn't mean I missed the point of the article. Anyways, who said we have to be serious all of the time......it's not like my comment was particularly offensive.

I enjoyed gears 1 and 2 and played a lot of gears 3 online but the game is getting stale. The single player is VERY repetitive, enter a room, take cover, kill all enemies and repeat. They need to freshen things up if they make another game.

Kingdom Come4396d ago

Have you played the Gears of War franchise? The campaigns are incredibly diverse in their level design and unlike some franchises aren't completely driven by set pieces. Also, you might find playing the game on Insane Difficulty provides a greater sense of tension in combat. The diversity of the enemy types alone prevents the campaigns from becoming stale...

Gear 1 = fresh and interesting
Gear 2 = best campaign (lots of variety)
Gear 3 = Best MP

More crappy bromance stories?

I played 1, 2 and 3, really hated how the story writing went off a cliff in 3. I liked the story DLC however

They should bring it to PC with the next Unreal engine

Why Epic's Win Against Apple And Google Paves The Way For The Future Of Mobile Gaming

Epic Games winning its cases against both Apple and Google is shaping the way forward for the future of mobile gaming.

shinoff218342d ago

I feel alot of mobile gamers are kids which will at some point probably turn to console or pc. Mobile gaming just doesn't cut it for me.

AlterRecs41d ago

tru dat, but i feel like it's gonna be a lot more viable for people who travel a lot or don't want to invest in a full gaming rig. Think of it as a Switch on drugs, with a LOT more room for free illegal downloads.

Apple to Reinstate Epic Games' iOS Developer Account Paving the Way for Fortnite's Return to iPhone

Epic Games scored a win against Apple as the iPhone's manufacturer is being forced by the European Commission to reinstate Epic's iOS developer account, paving the way for the return of Fortnite to the platform.

Beh. Tim Sweeney is such a pain. He's always trying to force Apple to play by his rules. He should make his own phone, and launch his own app store there and see if he can make it viable. Options are nice, unless they're parasitic, i.e. Epic Games / CCP.

"He should make his own phone, and launch his own app store."

This is the future of gaming.

jznrpg45d ago (Edited 45d ago )

I hope not I hate gaming on phones

Sorry that apple isn't able to get away with being corrupt.

Abriael45d ago (Edited 45d ago )

Imagine being on Apple's side in basically anything. 😂
