Video: Alienware's curved display caters to gamers

Engadget reports that Alienware was showcasing a swank new curved display here at CES, and apparently, the DLP RPTV is a must-have for gamers. The DLP display with OLED illumination from Alienware will reportedly be available in the second half of '08.

It's equivalent to 2-24inch disdplays, and repsonse time of 0.02 ms, that's pretty insane.

Wonder what the price is.

Gee that'd be awesome - CRT's FTW....I'm using a CRT right now actually, sure its pretty big, and the beige colour scheme aint too appealing, but it gives off a nice picture and of course has a better response time than any lcd.

seriously though - this gets to be a part of my dream-machine!

I would assume for "added 3d effect". However, that may not always work. It would be nice to have a screen that dynamically adapts the curvature of its surface according to the situation of the game; but that would not be affordable by Bill Gates himself...
