"A longtime diehard got an NES for his birthday as a kid, and, immediately following the first level of Super Mario Bros., declared himself a Nintendo fan for life. A recent convert to gaming bought her first gaming system after a massive price drop, and since experiencing glasses-free 3D, has never looked back. Two individuals epitomizing polar opposite gaming generations, yet sharing one crucial trait: an affinity for Nintendo gaming. Each of us has our own story on how we became Nintendo gamers. Mine begins with the visionary game developer known as Masahiro Sakurai." -- Wiiloveit.com
After being benched for 20 years, and returning only to be forsaken again despite being a splendid game, it's time Kid Icarus gets salvation.
The creator of the Smash Bros series, Masahiro Sakurai, has explained the lack of button re-mapping in Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
Super Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai describes a feature he wanted about the GameCube controller that may appear on the rumored Switch 2.
Scroll wheel would be in line with nintendos uniqueness I find appealing imo.
Scroll Wheel would be very cool. Legit great feature for games that need select skills, itens, weapons, etc.
Was not one of my favorite consoles but the shit a person could do with it. A gameboy player was about the reason why I liked the GC. And taking it apart to clean it pretty simple I wish Nintendo would let the gameboy player work on the Switch.
This article blew my mind because... Sakurai is actually the reason I no longer support Nintendo!
Melee was my favourite game on the Gamecube and I was looking forward to Brawl. But once I played Brawl, my time as a Nintendo fan ended. Slow gameplay, almost no hitstun or combos, and... tripping???... Seriously?! I was devastated! And then to hear Sakurai's comments about his reasoning for the changes; how he wanted to make the game accessible and thought that Melee was too fast and too hard. I couldn't take it! From then on I knew... Nintendo was not for me. And that saddens me because I first gamed on an NES before the age of 5 and still remember beating my first game (Megaman 5) on that system. Sigh...
