Kate Reed is back in Alawar’s House of 1000 Doors: Palm of Zoroaster. This time, she’s trying to save the eponymous house – and her friends who live in it – from a mysterious fire demon that has suddenly appeared and is attacking everything in sight. It’s a trip that will once again take her through magical paintings to exotic locations in an engaging adventure that is well worth your time and money.
DHGF: House of 1000 Doors: The Palm of Zoroaster is about a half a step down from its predecessor. This stems from a couple of facts. For starters, the story isn’t quite as interesting. Also, there have been no attempts to improve the formula. If you liked the first game, you’re sure to like this one. However, if you had misgivings before, they’re likely to grow stronger. Still, it’s a solid experience that will satisfy your hidden object game fix. I honestly hope the series continues, but that it grows stronger.

This new game takes place a year after everything first went down at the House of 1000 Doors. You begin with Kate driving back to the house. But suddenly there are explosions of fire that flash across the sky, and you crash your car into a tree! Don’t worry, you’re not hurt, and you are able to start your adventure on foot since you can see the house looming in the distance.
