20 Great Games on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and PC for 2008

Steven Williamson writes, "There are plenty of exciting games to look forward to in 2008 which aren't on the list you're about to read, but I've pondered away and chosen the 20 games which I think have the potential to be great titles over the coming year. The headline is a bit presumptuous, after all you never know how a game will turn out until you play it (just look at the disappointment that was Assassin's Creed - in my opinion), but there's a number of titles due out that should make 2008 another great year for videogames, including some brand new IP's, such as Alan Wake and Ghostbusters, and also sequels to past franchises such as Fable and Resident Evil."

NiGHTS for Wii is already out...Came out in December I believe. LBP????!?!?!! auto-fail. LBP will be the most innovative game in years. Plus, they put Resident Evil 5 on the list (which probably won't make it till 09) but not FFXIII?!?!

please dont flame ive seen the trailers and it just looks like a 2d side scroller with a level editor and suped up graphics. Please someone tell me why this game is so special

lbp is such a big deal because from what's been shown and said about it, it's going to change the online community of consoles in terms of user creations and sharing. the unbelievable customization options means that there could be literally millions of different levels and configurations that will be based solely on the imaginations of those who are playing the game. creating these levels and then going through them with three friends promises to be a one-of-a-kind experience. the forge in halo3 is fantastic for user-creations, but LBP is going to take it to a whole new level. it is the reason i bought a ps3. not msg4, or any FF, or KZ2. it's all about LBP for me. it's the game i want most on any system right now.
