Capcom Says Mod Support For PC Games Takes Too Much Time, Resources

right..... Capcom wants me to believe this.....

Megaman_nerd2521d ago

if they include mods then they can't rip them off with DLC costumes and stuff. lol

vortis2521d ago

Precisely.

What's more is that if they try to make a market out of mod support they run into the issues that Svensson brought up: IP rights, etc., etc.

If they charged you for mods or charged for mod support Namco could come along and sue Capcom's arse for copyright infringement if someone paid for mod tools, made a Goku clone and used them in SFxT or whatever, since Capcom would technically be making money from the person using Goku.

I can see why Capcom is threatened.I would balance the fighter roster myself, redesign levels, add my own music and download/make new skins for the roster.

They can't rip me off with DLC then.

Their loss though,I would download it right away on Steam so I can use some fight controllers that are only for PC.
