Considering Square-enix likes to tinker with new technology ,I think this game is going to be a PS Vita game.

MasterCornholio4415d ago (Edited 4415d ago )

An exclusive new Final Fantasy title for the Vita. I love the sound of that because if the game was multiplatform it would be hindered severly due to the hardware limitations of the 3DS.

Shivan4415d ago

you both realized they trademarked 2 ff games for the 3ds right?

1 called ff dimensions............

Sure the vita might be new tech, but the 3ds is number 1 in japan, and likely will be for years..........square is putting all new game portable support on 3ds basically.

the_bebop4415d ago (Edited 4415d ago )

And yet some of their best Original games are on the PSP so why would they not try to repeat it on the Vita.

Shivan4415d ago (Edited 4415d ago )

actually there best original games in sheer bulk were on ds.........

and with ff rhythm, dq rocket slime, dq monsters 1 remake, bravely default, kinhdom hearts and more on 3ds......what would make you think thats going to change?

and 2 trademarked 3ds ff games from square.......your grasping at straws

@rebirth

sorry dude but that game isnt that important. Not even close

THESONYPS34414d ago

Wish they would just finish FFvs13

DigitalRaptor4414d ago

Can't see how anyone would disagree with that.

brodychet4414d ago

Well all I want is KH3. But y'know. I can wait a full decade. That's fine.......................... ...........

rebirthofcaos4415d ago

stop creating new games, finish ffVs13 thats the most important game here.

Pedantic914415d ago

Maybe a browser game.

A low budget game probably.

Sharingan_no_Kakashi4415d ago (Edited 4415d ago )

FFXV wont be til next gen. But next gen may start next year...

I'd say a vita title could be in the works though it's likely a reveal of the 2 3ds ff games. Hmmm.... the only chance of this actually being Vita related is that we know that Squeenix was listed as one of the numerous companies that are supporting the Vita. So they HAVE to be working on something. But who knows... could be anything.

My question is why the heck they'd start a 135 day countdown -_-

Oh wait nvm thats hours.

I’m Glad Atlus & SE Changed Dates To Avoid Competing With Shadow Of The Erdtree

Saad from eXputer: "I'm glad I don't have to choose between Square Enix, Atlus, and FromSoftware due to bad release windows and Shadow of the Erdtree."

H91d 4h ago

More intelligent than guerilla games

raWfodog11h ago(Edited 11h ago)

Atlus is releasing their game one week before Erdtree, SE is releasing theirs one week after.

HZD released four days before Zelda, HFW released one week before Elden Ring.

It seems to me like they are still releasing their games too close to Erdtree.

Yuji Naka guilty of insider trading breaks silence to accuse Square Enix producer of lies

Yuji Naka was fined $1.2 million and given a suspended jail sentence for the crime.

I find his comments around how Balan turned out to be very insightful as to why the game is trash. He basically apologises for its existence

solideagle14d ago

can you please give some of us who don't know anything about this, a summary of what happened?

Chocoburger13d ago

Balan was knowingly rushed out by S-E, it had an extremely short dev cycle and was fairly low budget.
Naka was the game's director until near the end when he was fired or perhaps he quit, I forgot.

carrotcakeag13d ago

@Chocoburger Yeah they did fire and replace him which caused him to unload a bunch of rants about the company. The project only existed because of Naka in the first place, he convinced Square to give him one shot at making a platformer. They gave him an opportunity but pulled the rug out before he was done for reasons not explained.

Please o please don't turn dragon quest into final fantasy square enix we dont wont that. Dragon quest works well just as it I. Plus you'll piss off Japanese fans to.

jznrpg17d ago

Hopefully they don’t. From this it doesn’t sound like that is the case and development is just taking too long.
