RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.
"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!
How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera
And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden
Earlier this year, BioWare was hit with layoffs as part of a downsizing of parent company Electronic Arts, but fans have been reassured that the next Mass Effect game hasn’t been impacted. Likewise, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf’s development is still churning along, with BioWare putting it at the forefront of its focus and rumors suggesting that it could launch sometime later this year. Fans might be getting another look at the long-in-development Dragon Age: Dreadwolf at the Summer Game Fest in June.
If the recently posted job offering for a temporary development manager is any indication, BioWare could have yet another surprise up its sleeve for when Mass Effect 4 and Dragon Age: Dreadwolf are nearing completion. This mystery BioWare video game could truly be anything, from another spin-off of its two major properties to something entirely new. All there is to go on at the moment is a vague mention in the job posting, and it might still be some time before BioWare is ready to confirm any new games in its pipeline.
So a studio that spent years on anthem then this dragon age thing is now also working on another ip along with mass effect,
You think they would be worried that there brand has been on 3 major screw ups
Dragon age 3 launched broken with the frostbite engine yes its a good game but you can see in the late game how rough it was
anthem......
Mass effect 4 well that dev team was fired so yeah.....
They should make sure this new dragon age is a goat instead of putting more work on the table
How about they focus on those games and not over extend themselves? We don't need another Anthem.
Bioware died after Inquisition (some would even argue after ME3). They are no longer the same company.
Based on one narratively fitting ending in Mass Effect 3, Prothean squadmate Javik is highly unlikely to return in the next Mass Effect game.
He was one of my least favorite characters. I wish they would have done the Proths different.
My 60 dollars says otherwise. Not hating just stating.

It's not about exercising a right. It's about honest feedback. This a Kotor 2 level poor, vague, modular, unfinished feeling ending. The people who made it might want to know how disappointed some customers were by this ending. That's all it is.
People complained about the ending to Fallout 3, and LO they got a better ending that lead into a DLC because Bethesda cared.
Some people are suspicious that Bioware planned all along to give them a poor ending and then sell them a better ending. Others say that the ending was leaked and had to be rapidly rethought and that it shows an that they did the best the could to rewrite and redo the whole ending in the timeframe they had to work under after the leak.
Either way quite a few people didn't like it much and want something better. Asking for it is no sin or crime. Bioware can agree or disagree and how they do so will affect their future standing with some customers.
Personally I resented the online pass nonsense and so I decided that EA did not have a right to my money so I did not even buy the game. I just watched the ending(s) on you-tube. The endings are so similar as to make the differences seem lame and forced, and the revelation about the Reapers is not really very consistent with previous games. In fact on the face it seems stupid and self contradictory. The leaked former ending idea seems much better and darker and actually ties in with the title of the series and poses a much better dilemma.
If people are disappointed then they have a right to say why and suggest some other course of action. Why they are being flayed alive for this by assorted indignant idiots who have cheap looking amateur blog-spot template fake-journalism game blog sites is a mystery to me.
I guess some people have nothing better to do than build and knock down various dumb straw men about other gamers. They need to try to exert some kind of false authority over people who don't even give a damn what they think. I guess they think that they are being Bioware's and EA's pals or something. It's dumb, sad, and embarrassing that people try to turn idiotic rants like this into news and have such contempt for their fellow gamers. .
Ok, yes u do have a right to be upset about it, etc. Filing with the ftc, are u kidding me? I havnt finished it either but i will take a stab in the dark. Shepherd dies in every ending and no matter what u do, u don't get ur proverbial walk off into the sunset with ur held held high ending.
When mass effect 2 ended and i thought about 3, i thought that the best ending would be static. That, ultimately bioware would make it all about the journey. Ur choices affect, drastically, the journey that u take, making it ur own personal journey. But, the end would be the same for everyone, as if no matter what road u took, u could not avoid the inevitable. This, would be brilliant. Now, if i get to the end and i am right, i am going to be very happy. My hat will go off to bioware for not taking the easy road. If i m wrong, and it is stupid, then i will look back on one of the greatest games i have played and wished for a better ending, as i do with 99% of games that I play.
But, nothing justifies the outrage over this game. Everyone can have their opinion, and if u r that mad u can even petition bioware for a refund, but picking out words that someone spoke before release as reason to force a developer to change their own ending is nearly certifiable. Man, we need to do something about the unemployment numbers as people obviously have way too much time on their hands.
And Bioware doesn't have any rights to my money.
They can have it this time around, that is if I had bought ME3 which I haven't yet, but you can bet I'm going to remember the disappointing ending. The lazy things they're reported to have done in general as well as what they did to Dragon Age 2.
Also, when there's been so much controversy surrounding the game, 10/10 reviews aren't helping what sounds like an 8/10 game at least.
I'm speaking to you game "professional" community. Make scores less than perfect mean something again or become more worthless yourselves.
