Chris Buffa (Modojo): Chillingo's Coco Loco is a straight up Angry Birds clone, except the developers at Twiitch replaced Rovio's feathered friends with marshmallows (what!?), tasked with rescuing their friends from chocolate Aztec warriors (huh!?) by drowning them in hot coco (the hell!?).
Pocket Gamer: When it excels, Coco Loco is a showcase for its developer, but it slips back too quickly into comfortable routines and safe choices.
Touchgen: I have never been a fan of the insanely popular Angry Birds series. I can’t put my finger on one single thing that annoys me about the games, but I don’t like them. I had the original Angry Birds installed for just a couple weeks, and during that time I was consequently a lot more angry while playing the game than I was entertained. This pre-conceived crappy attitude is what surprised me most about my utter elation with Coco Loco, the latest “3-star physics puzzle” title from Chillingo.
Pixel Scribes: "Chillingo have published some of the most addictive and best-selling iOS games in recent years, including the likes of Angry Birds and Cut the Rope. Their latest release, Coco Loco aims to match the success of these past games and it appears to certainly have the potential."
