From the PlanetXbox360.com feature editorial:
"A couple of weeks back news broke that renowned developer and visionary Tim Schafer had asked gamers to to fund his latest project, Set to be a modern retooling of the classic Point & Click genre it attracted a huge following and just 8 hours later Schafer had reached his goal of $400,000 but it didn't stop there, Schafer stated that the more donated the more they could do with the game. A little over a week later and funding currently stands at a massive $2,887,239.
Double Fine Productions has teased the next Time Schafer game in the latest episode of PsychOdyssey on YouTube.
It looks like a third entry isn't happening soon.
Just how do studios cope with the pressure to "produce a worthy sequel"?
I'm about 9 episodes into this and it's great. They've been recording it for long, long time, pre Kickstarter and Rhombus.
Simply stunning, I hope more publishers do this in the future...
Maybe now there won't be any stupid console exclusives and the PS3 may have a chance to catch up!
Shenmue 3
It's probably just a big ass scam. All your money will probably go to their pockets. There's a lot of scammers now a days. Tim Schafer is freaking overrated as far as gaming developing are concerned.
