Review: Gotham City Impostors (RespawnAction)

"In a world where semi-realistic military shooters rule the genre year after year, which then "forces" other publishers to try and re-enact that success, it's refreshing to see a shooter that has a mind of its own. As a matter of fact, there are quite a few of those peeking their heads out now, with the latest of which being Monolith Studios' Gotham City Impostors, a rather unique spin-off of the Batman liscence.

The premise is simple: Batman is overwhelmed with his duties, so the good citizens of Gotham City have taken it upon themselves to become the Dark Knight's vigilante sidekicks. The difference here is these vigilantes, known as the "Bats," don't follow the same exact rules as Batman himself; namely, the "no killing" part. This is how the game becomes the first-person shooter that it is, because the Jokerz, the other half of the game, will stop at nothing to perform their devious shenanigans around the city."
