One of the highlights of FanimeCon 2025 was the Capcom cosplay gathering.
Capcom has removed GFWL from PC versions of Lost Planet 1 and 2 as well as other titles on Steam alongside support for online features.
With all the on-disc dlc you're putting out, no wonder.
Lets put this into context
1) I doubt it
2) If they get close it would be because of dlc, not new game sales or anything like that
Sounds about right, digital is already more than half of the PC market. And with Sony looking to make a big push towards digital with the Vita (day and date cheaper digital versions of all retail games) and Nintendo making some moves to bring more digital content to their platforms and MS have a strong digital arm already, next gen could see consoles having a significant % of revenue being digital in the near future as well.
Then there are the emerging full digital platforms like mobile phones and streaming services like OnLive. Digital is growing fast and it's only going to get bigger. Hell they could get to 50% sooner than 2017...
