Lost your Mass Effect 2 save files? This is what you can do

You don’t have to start all over again.

Anyone know a way of then actually using the save files, without having the old harddrives (for Xbox) and a data transfer cable? Any help would be appreciated.

hey buddy, i am sorry but i am a PS3 user so my reply may differ in your case. I too own ME2 and normally if i find risk of losing saved files, i transfer to my friend's account via PS Plus (Cloud service), perhaps you too could do the same (provided you have such a service).

Damnit.. no fix for the PS3. Well I'm not buying Me3 sorry, hopefully Sony or Bioware can fix that

WitWolfy4858d ago

Well for Xbox its easy.. for PS3... not so easy... YET! I specially finished ME2 on the PS3 recently just to transfer the saves over to the 3rd one! would be a biatch to lose a 30+ hours save game now :P

Bro missing companions: Legion, Grunt, Samara/Morinth, Javik, EDI

anast196d ago

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

RiseNShine196d ago

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast196d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman196d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

anast195d ago

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave443d ago (Edited 443d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.

He was one of my least favorite characters. I wish they would have done the Proths different.
