In preparation for the release of Mass Effect 3, both Future Shop and Best Buy Canada are both offering the game for free with the purchase of a Kinect Sensor.
WTF! But I just bought Kinect!.... Furthermore, there hasn't been a price-cut for Kinect, ever. And now they are giving away a huge, $60, game in!?!
Kinect was cut down to $99.99 over the holidays but throwing in Mass Effect 3 for free is a great deal.
Well that's all great, but I just paid $167 for mine a few days ago. And I'll be buying ME3 on Tuesday for $60.
So take it back. Don't they have a 30 day policy or something? Get the promotion all is well.
If it was a few days ago, you can price protect it on Tuesday and get Mass Effect 3 for free.
Just sounds like a way to Kinect. What Mass Effect 3?! Here! Pay $40 to $90 more for this add-on with a voice control option you'll only use with this one game and get the game for free! The word "free" needs to be banned from advertising. That's all I'm saying... Edit: Again. Free. Advertising. Banned. The word "free" should not be used in advertising - especially when selling something!
Its the same price as a standalone kinect.
If you look at it that way, Kinect is only $90, which is the cheapest price I've ever seen.
... but it is 'free'. For the same price as a kinect, you get a game for free. This isn't any different from retailers selling new systems with one or two 'free' games bundled in. It's a marketing strategy, but I don't see why it should be banned when it's just describing the deal.
Except free literally means without any obligation. And really, how hard is, "Buy Kinect and get a copy of ME3 at no additional costs?" Go into a store with a buy one get one free, and you'll get arrested for shoplifting for taking the "free" one.
Godmars, you have reach new depths of lame here today. *slow clap* well done!
