PSP Outsells Wii in Japan

Nintendo has had a firm hold of the Japanese gaming market almost non-stop since the launch of the Wii in November, 2006. The only true competition to the Wii's dominance at the top of Japanese sales has come from another Nintendo product, the DS. But now Nintendo's 1-2 combo has been broken by Sony, as its PSP handheld has outsold the Wii.

got it early we all opened a gift for xmas eve and Igot to say it rocks battlefront is a wicked game and being able to remote my ps3 anywheres we can get a signal is too cool!
Got the white one very sexy anyone recommend a good case for the slims? Want something to protect the screen.

The PSP slim is supply constrained in the U.S. for the holiday season. There's lots of darth vader PSPs, but not many daxter packs, and even fewer piano blacks. This is likely the situation in Japan where Sony probably re supplied Japan with more PSPs and thus the PSP doubled in sales. Because there's nothing else that could possibly cause that kind of jump in sales.
