MMGN.COM writes: When we talk about the highest grossing indie titles of the past five years, most (if not all) of those titles appear on iOS, Android or PC. While consoles have opened their doors to indie developers via Xbox Live, the PlayStation Network and WiiWare, why do most indie developers choose to steer clear of console releases? Because it doesn't make sense for them to even attempt a console release. Here's five very valid reasons why console gamers are missing out on the indie renaissance.
"This year, I’ve begun playing hidden-object games between other games as a way of relaxing and clearing my mind a bit. This was particularly needed recently after playing Blue Prince and Expedition 33 — two games that drain you mentally and emotionally, respectively. It’s purr-fect timing, then, that Devcats are back with a new title, A Building Full Of Cats 2." Paul @ Thumb Culture
Jay from NoobFeed writes- Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine - Master Crafted Edition is more than likely one of the best-remastered games to be released recently. Between the improved UI and visuals, there’s a whole new world to explore and see much more clearly while reliving the old days. Unfortunately, while the weapons radial can be forgiven, the issue with saving might end up being a nail in the coffin for this absolute gem.
Zahra from NoobFeed writes- In an era of risk-averse AAA development, Stellar Blade dares to embrace style, difficulty, and identity in equal measure. It delivers everything a premium title should for action RPG fans. And for SHIFT UP Corporation, they established the studio not as a curious newcomer but as a rising force in the genre. A dazzling hack-and-slash reinvention that shines brighter on PC.
Cause Sony/MS are not so friendly to Indie Devs on a small and tight Budget looking to make a buck like the PC and Steam.
Games like Dear Esther and Amnesia The Dark Descent are totally friggin awesome but no way could the Indie Devs afford to go the Sony/MS route and still turn a huge profit plus their game and vision would of been screwed up with some stapled on multiplayer mode that ever dam game seems to have now a days.
Its the console brands fault they would charge indie studios out the ass with fees
***"Nintendo came out last year and slapped indie developers in the face, stating that the company does not support "garage" developers."***
I lol'd when I read that. xD
Funny, i'm a console gamer and i'm not missing out, because i also have a gaming PC. you should change that title to "Console Only Gamers"
