The doctors from Bioware discuss the Old Republic Launch, ending a trilogy, and a Mass Effect MMO

The PA Report - The founders of Bioware are collectively referred to within the industry as the doctors. Drs. Greg Zeschuk and Ray Muzyka sat with me for in an interview in a nice hotel suite in Las Vegas, and they seemed completely content with the world and their place in it. The launch of Bioware’s Star Wars MMO The Old Republic went beautifully, with few technical hiccups and almost 2 million paying subscribers at the last official count. Mass Effect 3 is weeks away from completing one of the most successful trilogies in gaming. They have good reasons to be smiling.

I'd love a Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic III.

The first one is a phenomenal RPG for making the Star Wars universe so real and exciting. I even have a lot of love for II. I've heard Bioware say the MMO is part III - but it isn't. I bet it is a fantastic game but with work and family I just don't have the time to commit to an MMO.

A single player SW: Knights of the Old Republic III would just be a phenomenal way to go back to that universe.

It'll end up being arse due to them needing to make it viable for folks who've never heard of Kotor.

People who probs think Mass Effect is the first Bioware game and is the pinacle of storytelling.

I think they could make it. But I bet it wouldn't use D&D mechanics. So it wouldn't be Kotor.

do you mean it will be a little more actiony like mass effect or force unleash ish?

i guess that makes sense considering people new to it wouldnt get use to the what seems to be like a pc game since i played the first 2 on xbox and own the first one on steam

but as long as it has the dialog thing n all things that made kotor 1 great then i want them to make a kotor 3

Havent played SW:TOR but from what I heard it is kinda sequel to KotOR, storywise. So I dont think there'll be another KoTOR unless SW:TOR dies :P
