Super Mario Coin Block Lamp Is What Geek Dreams Are Made Of

Adam Rosenberg of G4 writes: "I'm not usually one for freaking out over Etsy products, but I stumbled onto this page this morning and had to share. What you're looking at is a Super Mario Coin Block hanging lamp, complete with sound effects and a touch-senstive underside."

That is one of the greatest things i have laid my eyes on since the Nintendo 64 itself.

Nintendo fans have always been the creative type. We appreciate innovative gameplay, new innovative ways to play our games, and great inventions like this one.

Things will only get better as the exclusives release and the Nintendo wii U release sometime this 2012. We are all in for a wonderful treat. Hopefully Nintendo will also branch off and make lamps in one of their exclusive departments.

Rated E for Everyone

I was thinking $80. I was close. Lol. It'd still be a pretty cool addition to my Mario collection.

A Late Look: Paper Mario

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "Welcome to A Late Look, a series of article where I take a belated look at games from yesteryear that I missed out on the first time around. Not quite review and not quite rant, it’s more a casual assessment of what I – the gamer of the future – consider to be each game’s strengths and weaknesses in retrospect.

Just last month Nintendo released a remake of the cult-classic Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, so what better time could there possibly be to take a look not at that game, and not at its original, but at the Nintendo 64 game from 2000? None is what I say! This very first release in the Paper Mario series will also be my first entry point. So, let’s get to it."
