Itagaki is lucky the interviewer didn't know about the two meetings last week that THQ had with Square Enix and one other high profile publisher as they sought to sell Devil's Third to another publisher. Apparently Itagaki has been jet setting with the money and the project has made little to no advances since last seen. THQ just wants to unload the project now.

"The one thing that's completely different between the Eastern publisher and Western publisher is the budget. I’ve made more than 30 games, and if you put a little bit more [money] into the one I’m making now, Devil’s Third, I could make all of the 30 games I made before. That’s the big difference. The budget you use for the promotion is completely different too. Those are the biggest differences. "

and there, in a nutshell, is what wrong with our western publishers, these people spend more on advertising than they do on assembling a quality game.

look at some of the turds that have come out this gen asking for $65 then bombarding you with dlc starting day one.

and they cry about "development costs"

make better games, let your unique idea and amazing story advertise for you, no one watching dancing with the stars gives a shit about a new first person shooter.

game sites will advertise for you for free if you have a fresh amazing idea,

so sick of all the part 3's and 4's this gen

most of them are crap
